The owners couldn’t be more helpful (maybe not perfect, but who is?). They work long hours and care an awful lot about their/our neighbourhood. Sadly they have suffered from racism. They did make one mistake (2018), and they were punished unfairly. The abuse they then suffered on social media was extreme. They are not ‘I.T. savvy’ and so couldn’t defend themselves. If a mistake is ever made (we are all human), then speak to them rather than attacking via a forum where they are unable to respond, defend, or correct any mistake. It’s called a convenience store for good reason, so I implore people to bear that in mind? I can only wish them the best, and thank them for being there at all. If I have to pay a little more for the ‘convenience’ of their hours and being in a small village centre, then I’m okay with that. If you’re not, then perhaps drive further and shop elsewhere? Thank you for just being there. ????
I often use this little shop if I am doing visits nearby and need a snack. Tiny little space but so much stuff there. Might be pricy compared to say a large supermarket but remember this is an independent store and doesn't have the backup of a huge company. The staff have always been very polite and friendly when I have gone in there. Never overheard any nasty stuff towards customers either.
Seeing such a poor rating for one of our village shops leaves me feeling that they need a locals positive experience shared. Over the last few years they have gone above and beyond to help my 87 year old gran who has very limited vision, not only in the shop, but also at home. Ordering things in, just for her, and when she’s unable to go to the shop, they have brought her shopping round, always honest with the receipt, and happy to wait for payment. The hours they are open too, very hard working people!
They put the prices up on latex gloves for £13 and a pack of paracetamol for £7. I've received a death threat after pointing out to a friend of mine how horrid you must be to charge £4 for 1 roll of toilet paper (out the bag too). Was in the shop no less than a few minutes and i'd recommend never stepping foot in their detty store.

FAKE VAPES over priced never go to this shop they will happily take your money and give you a fake product
Changed hands a few years back all down hill from then onwards used to be a friendly local shop not like that anymore check your change and you're bank statements
A friend of mine was refused service simply for being gay. This kind of hate needs to be stopped and I implore anyone not to shop here until they get their act together.
