I’ve had some pretty bad treatment here from rude staff. Also, even though I’ve literally watched my doctor send a prescription through to them and then I arrived at the pharmacy half an hour later, they say to come back tomorrow as it’s not on their system yet. So off I hobble as my sciatica is really painful. I spoke to one of them once who told me they only update their incoming prescriptions at certain intervals. So basically, even though my prescription WAS with them, rather than check their incoming messages they’d rather see me struggle off and get a taxi back the next day rather than just check the computer. Also, the queues really stack up in there as their priority is chatting with each other, not customer service. Any job I’ve had if I was standing around chatting like they do I’d be reprimanded.
Be wary of using this pharmacy, I paid for my prescriptions and they claimed I applied for a free prescription despite me still having the records that I paid for it. NHS sent me a £100 penalty fine. If you have to use this pharmacy record everything and keep your receipts
They have been illegally charging me for a prescription I was not supposed to pay for. I will be launching a complaint to get my money back and against the pharmacy. I suggest you avoid
I used to use Boots for making up prescriptions, but the pharmacy staff just did not seem to take any interest or care about people what so ever. Especially if there was a short fall in being able to supply any of the medicines prescribed, this has never been a problem here, and the staff have when necessary have phoned the doctors to fix or check scripts, all in all an excellent standard of service.
In addition they also offer things like seasonable flu jabs as well as a very broad range of over the counter medicines with the pharmacologist on duty always being very willing to help and guide on choices.

If a controlled drug is out of stock at the manufacturer, you should phone the patient up and INFORM them. That might of given me enough time to contact the specialist and have my son put on different meds before his tablets run out.

This pharmacist is professional, kind and helpful. I came in quite distressed about a painful rash on my back and two of the helpful pharmacists looked at it, told me I needed to call 111 and recommended a cream for me to use to ease my pain. They made me feel looked after and a lot calmer - thank you!
