What an amazing place hidden away in Swadlincote. Awesome food, great staff and a lively vibe helped by having the kitchen in view. A must if you're in town! Will be back.
Attended for a course today.1st time been to Restaurant. Was greeted by Mine host Jason who is owner and Chef he made my wife and I so welcome.
We cooked 3 course meal.Starter- French Onion ???? Soup.
Main-Coq-au Vin.
Dessert- Creme Brulee. What a fabulous 3.5 hrs and 2 days dinners to eat! Highly recommend ????.
Lovely little place with friendly staff, generous portion sizes and delicious, beautifully presented food. We had the pork belly and scallops, king prawns and calamari and the three small plates were plenty to share. Very reasonable prices too with the bill being £50 for the three shared small plates, two amazing puddings, a bottle of wine and a couple of beers. Been wanting to come here for ages after lots of recommendations and finally had the chance to come as my days off are usually a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday when 5 is closed. Can’t wait to come again and absolutely love the hard work and passion of the chef to keep the menus changing and fresh
Went for my 18th birthday dinner to the Japanese night was fantastic, enjoyed all the food.
Only some criticism for the kitchen the udon was very soft in our starters, traditionally udon is chewy, and the rice in our main was quite sticky not very fluffy, it was more like pudding rice. However flavour was unmatched, the pork was absolutely gorgeous.
The table service was prompt and professional, only criticism being between courses our cutlery wasn't replaced but this was only a small detail
These two points did not affect our experience overall, we were all impressed and would like to come again :)
The food was amazing me and my friend really enjoyed our meals and both thought the flavours were amazing my friend had the vegan option. I expected to pay a lot more and I was pleasantly surprised after such a lovely meal. Atmosphere was great and staff were welcoming and friendly
First visit for Sunday lunch and won't be the last. Really liked the open kitchen layout where you could see and smell your food being cooked. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. Really friendly and attentive staff. From what we saw of other people's table there are plenty of dishes to choose from, we had the seafood platter and rump steak, which were both excellent. Will probably try some of the smaller sharer plates next time
Wow what a find.My husband and I were gifted a voucher so perhaps wouldn't have even tried it.The food was amazing and first class service.I shall definitely recomend to all my family and friends. The only critisism I would say is that it was extremely cold. The front and back door were both propped open but they did eventually close the front door but a bit late we were chilled to the bone.Thankyou
Amazing food, friendly staff and awesome decor! Will definitely be back.
