Disgusting. Worst chips I've ever tasted, and most expensive chippy I've been to too! Chips were green and grey and tasted days old. 'Large portion' chips about £4.50 and they were size of a kids plate. Truly disappointed. Girl who served me was lovely enough but the rest of the crew looked like they couldn't be bothered.
Absolutely the worst fish and chips have ever had, outrageously expensive, and the regular size portions were the equivalent of a kids size. Felt totally ripped off …. Had been so looking forward to it and it was an absolute disaster and simply felt compelled to leave this review, just wish I had found the reviews first
We have called in here twice this week and the portions maybe OK, but the food is rubbish. Today the chips are so rock hard my grandson couldn't eat them, he did have 2 sausages but one was overcooked and hard. All in all a complete waste of money...last time we will bother going there. Which is a shame as we are in Pendine often. But why pay for food that is inedible!!!
£15 for a “large” fish and chips with curry sauce! The over cooked fake chippy chips tasted like the oil has never been changed and the cod was chewy with a non existent flavour.
They also make sure to add the most rationed amount of salt and vinegar and bag it up out of view.
Arguably one of the worst fish and chip shops in Britain so you’ve got that as a selling point atleast.
First time here with the children
I've been to Pendine so many times as it's my nearest beach, but the first time we got chips . Really disappointed There was nothing cooked up in the shop, and we did have to wait. Chips were nothing like chip shop chips. They must have been frozen. Really dry Only had 2 sausage chips, curry sauce, and a cod, which was OK
There is another cafe next door probably should have gone there!!
Called in this evening (9/10/23) and ordered the family deal. Although I have had better fish and chips I must say I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase considering all of the negative reviews. Order was efficiently taken, wait was reasonable, freshly cooked and the two staff seemed to work well together. Thought it was very good value.
Terrible. Small portions. Awful chips. Chap behind the counter looked like he couldn’t care less. Very expensive too. Do not go there! Picture is what 8.99 buys you!
The food is ok, menu is limited only doing cod, no other fish. Check your order before you leave, I ordered 2 X chips and only got one. I found it quite expensive £5 for a basic pie, chips at nearly £5.
