Went last night for the first time & I will definitely be going back again. Fish lovely, chips loads of & tried the ribs ( as seen on previous reviews they were a must try !) And was not disappointed at all. Service good & friendly. Thanks fish & chicken, will see you again soon.
It's worth the 15-minute drive. Was able to get gluten-free fish and chips for my son, which he loved, and it looked really good. Friendly service, and I'm definitely going there from now on

Best chippy in the Colchester, hands down. It was closed, or not taking orders online the other night, so I went to somewhere recommended by a friend, and when it turned up, it reminded me just how superior the food at Fish & chicken is.
Definitely my "go to" chippy.
Just had half chicken and chips i must say they were both cooked to perfection chicken was juicy and the chips were perfect thankyou chicken and fish we will be back soon ????
Very friendly and helpful staff. They recommend me to go for The Lite-Bite fish and chips (which was the cheaper option) than a small portion as I said I didn't want to much because I would waste it. The potion size was prefect. They even accommodated for a northern with gravy.
Chips were a bit too salty but other than that not a bad portion of fish and chips
