Best KPortal Reviews

Visited as a family for the Sunday carvery. Great food, lots of options. Especially loved the cauliflower cheese! Puddings are also very generous portions and very tasty.
It was our first visit and definitely wont be the last, my friend was celebrating a special birthday, we booked for 1.30pm but got there an hour early as wasnt as difficult to find as thought, explained to the owner Martin we were early any chance of fitting us in, he and the rest of the staff did so without a fuss even though it meant them juggling the seating, this was impressive. The food was a divine carvey with everything you can imagine, the staff plate your meal up and are very generous asking what you would like all the way through the choices. Very well worth the trip very reasonable and all the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Book as does get really busy. Enjoy. We did????
An amazing carvery, Martin and his team so friendly, we hadn’t booked turned up and just had to wait for a table but we’ll worth the wait, I just can’t recommend this enough one the best carvery we have had excellent value for money.
What a gem of a place. The portions are enormous and the food is fantastic. My husband, daughter and I visited for Sunday lunch and would definitely recommend it. The café has introduced a range of COVID-19 protection measures including the usual party registration on arrival and all staff were wearing PPE. The carvery area is screened off behind perspex. One table is called up at a time to keep everyone distanced and you can choose what you want to eat from the wide carvery options available (food is plated by the staff). The puddings were as delicious as the roast dinner. The carvery is £8 for adults with reduced prices for OAPs and children. The whole meal including puddings and soft drinks cost us £33. Unbelievable value!
Book ahead advised. V welcoming. Good roasts. Kids portions available. Reasonable prices. The lady who booked us in assured us the produce was all local. Makes sense as the market also trades livestock here.
Great carvery, paid at the bar then got a voucher to go into the carvery and be served at the counter. Portions are very generous and the food quality is top notch! Probably the best roast dinner we’ve ever had out! Value was quality too at £13.95 per adult carvery. Did get busy from 12:30 onwards so worth booking to avoid missing out. Nice family run business!
Best place for a Sunday lunch/ carvery in Derbyshire. spot an food an spot on price. amazing friendly service from Martin
Our 3rd visit for Sunday lunch, delicious food, always hot, had dessert this time too, didn't disappoint and will definitely visit again.
