What a lovely place, so many things going on
There is lots of climbing activities plus a massive inflatable assult course.
There is also a sailing club and canoe club.
There is a restsurant and a cafe.
The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the lake.
I had a lovely Earl Grey tea for just £1.50.
The restauarnt looked nice but I didn't eat in there because I was just visiting the lake, although the menu looked very tempting.
Plenty of free car parking.
Extensive range of mostly outdoor activities including, angling, sailing (+ it’s kissing cousins), a boulder climbing park, a nature trail, playgrounds, an activity centre, golf and a restaurant.
A well-maintained, fit for purpose amenity that offers well-maintained recreational facilities/activities for all age groups.
No bowling green.
Stunning park. It is very enjoyable for a day out with family and groups. Picnic, large areas of lying down on the grass, walking around the lake, water adventure, boats hire, cycle 4x4 hire. Lots of parking space. Cafeteria. Highly recommend.
Fairlop Waters provides footpaths around the lake, plus there is also kayaking, sailing and paddle boarding.
Some people use the lake for fishing and I expect they have a fishing licence and pay a fee to fish there.
There is a large structure for climbing, but it has never been open on one of my visits.
A bar/cafe offers a range of drinks and snacks, plus there are public toilets that are very clean.
Parking is available, but it is not free. They accept the RingGo App to pay for parking.
Beautiful park. So many things to do there. A stand out for me was the water obstacles similar to total wipe out. You can also hire some paddling boats or do some kayaking on the waters. When I visited, there was also a fun fair which just made the experience that much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this park!
Toilet facilities are available.
This park is great for picnics, walks and fresh air. This park is also great for cycling.
This park offers fun activities for kids such as total wipe out. They also have boats on hire which is perfect for a fun family day out.
I have seen some stunning sunsets at this park. I have also seen rabbits in surrounding areas of the park.
Great to walk round the lake, but was a bit smaller than I expected. Enjoyed the big sky views and the wildfowl. The RAF history was very interesting and could use more attention, signposting the various features, explaining the history and so forth.
Parking is plentiful although not free. Excellent bar/cafe in the Boathouse, good coffee and snacks, and staying open into the evening is a big plus when most such places are closed by 4 on a Sunday. Highly recommended.
Only 25 minutes from Enfield (Sunday), lovely country park. Has a number of water-based activities for adults and children. There was a dragon boat race going on which was fun to watch. Lots of seating around the site. Lovely walk around the lake but there longer walks you can do. It has a nature reserve, ball park for the children, cafe and a Greek restaurant. Great place for parties, group activities like bike and boat hire and picnics. Fairlop used to be an RAF base and there is a memorial remembering lives of men and women lost. Car parking rates are reasonable.
