I’ll give 0 star if I can. Impossible to get a appointment. Even if u do, it’s not here, it’s in Fairfield or in Kingston hill. As if this is only a front with no doctors inside. Also, only 3 slots open at 2pm on the NHS app for next day. All early morning. As a university student with lectures ending at 6 and having to manage a society til 9pm this is frustrating. Good luck trying to find an appointment
The receptionists are unprofessional, rude and unhelpful. They never do what they said they would do. You asked them to print off forms so you can go to collect them and when you go they are not there. They just make things that should easy complex. If you agree something with the doctor, be sure that if this then requires you to interact with the receptionists to get it done, it won't happen and you will be back to square one. Highly frustrating.
The staff Jenny was nice and professional in guiding me on how to register and book an appointment by phone and on-site, I met Dr Lucy today, and she was kind and helped me stay next testing. The people I met so far were kind and professional :)
Friendly lady at the telephone but they won‘t give you an appointment even if you‘re severely sick. You‘re just being told to call again the next morning, I ended up having pneumonia and had to go to the A&E cause my GP wasn’t gonna see me ????
The positive point about this GP practice is that you can get an appointment if you call them in a same day. It helps me a lot cause I can go and see doctor if I have an urgent need however some of the doctors are not very polite and I think it’s not professional as a health care doctor I expect the kindness and politeness which this go practice disinterested meet the requirement .
Apart from treatment first characteristic of a doctor is to having a calm and helpful manner not to make a judgment about a patient. It happens for me with one of the GP’s here .
Rude staff even for a KU graduate. I've gone through the rude telephone calls with the GP staff but being an alumni to still have the same treatment and paying £9k a year and still be treated with utmost disrespect is unacceptable. Bad performance and customer service. Firstly, don't correct your patient to where they live. You can't be ignorant and keep telling them they live somewhere else when they don't. Secondly, they are university students who can comprehend where you are coming from, be patient and answer the phone with equal respect. Thirdly, you are paid by the NHS to give and make sure all your patients are receiving a good quality of care. That includes making sure handing over their medical records on time to avoid delays. Do your job properly and treat your patients with respect. I didn't pay £9k and chose Kingston university to be treated with a low standard GP practice!
I was a study abroad when I visited fairhill medical practice. I saw Dr. Polly Hodgkinson when my chronic reflux condition suddenly got worse. She put me on metoclopramide, which she did not inform me was known to commonly cause permanent, debilitating damage to the brain, and essentially acted as an antipsychotic, despite being marketed for stomach conditions. Despite being female and just over 20 (two groups of increased risk for this) she put me on the highest dose, 30mg a day. After two days, I developed severe akathisia, tics, and other neurological problems that never went away. I returned home to get help from a neurologist, who diagnosed me with tardive dyskinesia and akathisia. When I complained to Fairhill about what happened, they gaslighted me, blamed me for what happened, implied my neurologist was incompetent, and tried to convince me what I was experiencing was all in my head. They maimed me, left me disabled, and completely abandoned me. Four years later, I am still suffering every day from the damage this drug did to me, which no doubt was compounded by being given so much in such a short period of time. Dr. Hodkinson kept vital information from me, which robbed me of my right to informed consent and stopped me from being able to protect myself from this horrible drug. To this day, they do not feel a shred of remorse for what they've done. They completely destroyed my life and left me alone to pick up the pieces. Show solidarity. Boycott Fairhill Medical Practice.
Impossible to get an appointment, I regret moving my gp practice to this one - I suggest trying to find any other in the nearby area.
