That was the best fish and chips! The largest piece of cod I've ever received in a chippy and all well cooked. The second time we've been here and did not disappoint, this time stopping off on a journey from Norwich to Ipswich. The first time it was the recommendation of locals on where to eat in Eye. Can't recommend highly enough
The cod itself was beautiful and flakey, but the batter was soft and extremely greasy, the paper it was wrapped in had a puddle of oil in the bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if Just Stop Oil glued themselves to the door at some point!
The chips were distinctly average.
Had I had an inkling of the quality of the batter I would have driven a few more miles to the Fair Green chippy in Diss. Mental note made for future reference.

We have been going to the Eye Fish and Chip Shop for a while now and they've always been very good quality fish and chips.
The fish, which is the main part, is always succulent with a crisp light batter never greasy or heavy and the chips are very much the same. Even though most of the time it's cooked while you wait it's always of a very high standard.
It's a good 20min drive to go there for us but they never disappoint.
Long may they continue and we will always go there for our fish and chips.
Best fish and chip shop in the area. Cooked to order, always delicious and hot. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic! Really good value and very well cooked
I've stopped here a few times when passing through Eye. The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is delicious! The prices are fair. It can be a bit cramped inside which results in having to wait outside during peak hours, but that can't really be helped. Recommended if you enjoy this type of food.
