Went into the bakery today asked for 4 cakes with the chocolate on top which I thought was a brownie I was given it in a flat box when I went to go eat it it was like this they didn't put my lemon bun in a box they gave it in a bag everything was aquahsed and ruined cake not worth eating due to the topping all stuck to the paper bag dhe gave me it in was for guests not happy one bit it was quite clear I needed a box to keep them neat it was if I was a dog. Won't be buying again
Amazing cakes and samosas. Visited for the first time last week. Happily helped me out a box of sweets together and I went back the same day for some samosas. Good prices. I recommend the flapjack (I didn’t try the others but good reviews!), Bakewell tarts, jam donuts.
Nice bakery near Ethel Road and Evington area and very nice staff ???? and you can ask for a save your favourite food for pick up before sold out over the phone. A good range of samosa sandwiches freshly baked cobs jam doughnuts wrap and pie I'm very glad to have Bakery like this
Found this place while hubby stayed at general for over a week. Nice little old traditional bakery just like the ones we grow up with. Bringing back so much memories. They do have quite a few sweet & savoury items to choose from and they do awesome lamb burgers. They can help heat it up for you and also add ketchup. Yum yum ????
Always have good products. Freshly made. The glass partition at the counter is not very good for appearances!
Visited Ethal bakery, bought few different things but got shock !! No welcoming gesture ! No prices on anything, no expiry dates and CASH ONLY (come on guys it’s not Stone Age anymore ) ripping off prices , samosas, sandwich and burger was awful !! Chicken burger felt like rubber !! I will never go back there! Highly not recommend
Lots of tasty baked goods to be had from Ethel Bakery! You can also grab a sandwich or a wrap. Great place to go for a quick take out lunch however, be mindful that they're a cash only shop.
The savouries are not great but the biscuits and doughnuts are nice and reasonably priced. My only issue is the customer service- there was no one in the shop, but I was being rushed asking what and how much I wanted. After I did quickly decide, as I felt I was being pressured, the lady serving was unfriendly as though she would rather be anywhere else in the world!
