Went for lunch, thought overall it was expensive for 4 meals and 4 drinks was £59, for a chippy lunch. Has to wait 40 minutes for the food when we were thr only people in there.
Restaurant was clean and empty when we arrived so the atmosphere was a little flat.
Toilets clean. Food was tasty and big portions.
On our way home from Cornwall we took a look at the Google reviews for fish and chips and it was spot on.
Soon as we walked in we were met with a friendly greeting. Great with sorting the kids with what they wanted and of course the adults had the fish and chips and they were fantastic.
Personally I have to be in the mood for fish and chips and this one for me is right up there.
Light batter, just the right size fish and fried to perfection.
Chips were also cooked very well and enjoyed very much.
Completely recommend and will certainly look to drop in next time we're down that neck of the woods for sure.
Oh, nearly forgot the curry sauce, again right up there, delicious.
There was a dead bug in my son's ice cream, and the manager didn't even bother to apologise when I showed it to him . At least we did get our money back. Very rude, unprofessional.
£34 for fish chips and peas twice and two cans of coke!!
Being fair the foos was really nice, and the service was quick, but we were the only ones in there. On a negative side 2/3 of the way through my meal I found a hair in my chips.
We stopped by here after a little walk along the sea front. Prices aren't cheap here we paid £21.90 or something for one cod and chips and one fishcake and chips you also pay extra to sit in and eat so just a heads up with that. Place was quite clean and staff were constantly cleaning up tables and the floor of sand. Despite the high price we paid the chips I ate are probably the best I've ever had to be honest definitely would recommend. Lovely seating outside sadly not enough room for more but it's a great little chip shop ????
Had a small portion of chips with a battered sausage. Perfect portion size, perfectly cooked, quick & friendly service. Can't fault them.
Very well presented chip shop. A little expensive but I expect they need to be to cover the running costs. Friendly staff. Chips were nice, curry sauce very small. They do have a pop up ice cream shop/slushy shop out the front which most kids will love.
I was offered the last portion of chips (to be fair it was about to close) I was told there was more then a small portion left but was only going to be charged for a small portion. When it arrived there was probably only ten( approximately )chips in the tray very disappointed @£3.10 (very expensive for what it was )
So decided not to accept
