Food is super fresh, tastes amazing and is always well presented too! The man who works here (I believe it may be the owner) is so friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you're happy. Incredible service and food 10/10

First time visit, went for a toastie and the burger. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced too, although looking around the shop whilst waiting the jars of sauces etc on offer are very expensive.

We went into Entwistle’s today for a hot sandwich. It was 2:20 when we arrived to order our usual hot Turkey sandwich…only to be told the hot food isn’t being served because they’re nearly shut…40 minutes from closing time. The lady who I spoke to was a disgrace, he continued to offer me food which wasn’t what I wanted, tuna jacket or a cold sandwich…When I said I’m alright thanks about 5 times she mimicked what I said in a condescending tone as I walked out. That’s not good customer service - do better

This is the 2nd time I have been to this lovely Deli & the takeaway food (a festive hot turkey & trimmings bap) was delicious.
However I was dismayed that in these times of Covid-19 the lady serving wore no mask. Then when 3 more people entered the shop, which was 3 more than allowed on the door sign & 2 of the young men were wearing no face covering & to cap it all started vaping!!, no attempt was made to ask them to wait outside. My friend hurried out once served as her partner is vulnerable.
Very poor & very lax. Hence I can only give 3 stars.
Food is excellent, but we won't be going again, not during this pandemic anyway!!
The unprepossessing shop front belies the treasures inside. As well as a wide variety of take away options including sandwiches etc. they sell a small but well chosen selection of farmhouse cheeses, locally produced salted and unsalted butter, Fentimans and other drinks such as saspirilla and dandelion and burdock. Vegetarian pate and a selection of pies were delicious.
