Unfortunately, my order was incorrect, missing a jumbo sausage and was given curry sauce instead. I was the only person in the shop at the time of my order so not sure why this was the case.
I asked for my Cod well done and still came with batter soggy in places. I do think this is due to being wrapped with the chips and not separate.
Mushy peas were basically just water with a couple of peas inside the tub (£1) Weren’t able to eat these. The chips however were decent and were cooked nicely.
Portions sizes for the prices are poor. Large Cod was way too small for nearly £9.
Won't be returning, chips were dry and luke warm, I asked for peas and gravy, they had neither, ended up with curry sauce which was cold,the bread roll was a flattened stale brioche bun, that went straight in the bin. If I could give no stars I would, the bloke behind the counted had a face like a slapped a**e, worst chippy I've been to in along while.
OMG as if fish and chips werent enough, they now do Kebabs and we have just had the most fantastic kebabs from Elmswell Fish and Chips . They were cooked to order on the open charcoal grill not a gas or electric flat plate. Even the chilli sauce and garlic sauce were to die for. Highly recommend.
Got here at 6.45 on a Friday evening - still waiting for cod, chips and scampi for over half an hour. Phone orders get preference over queuing customers. You get served faster in a restaurant, won’t be back.
Good food really tasty well worth a visit. Best kebab we've had lately.

Staff were not very welcoming on arrival. Food was luke warm, greasy and undercooked. Will not be returning.
Great fish shop..now selling kebabs..Great friendly service..value for money..
