Chancers and can't even screw on a Oil filter correctly which resulted in damages to my driveway and showed on my MOT which is a 35k miles 2019 car and has only been seen by this garage. Just beware please.
My car failed and the manager sorted it there and then, I was impressed and booked my Jeep in for further work.
I usually do all of my own work at home but I encountered an issue that was beyond what I was comfortable doing. I popped in and talked to Matt and he was extremely knowledgeable about the project just by seeing the part. I left it with him and I got a call about an hour later that it was ready. The work was superb, prompt, and Matt was very kind to bless me on the price! The service saved me time and money, plus they did a better job than I would have done myself. I won't hesitate to use them again in the future when looking for a friendly local garage for service.
Matt and the boys went the extra mile to ensure our car was back on the road quickly. Despite his equipment being broken he sourced another tool from another garage to complete the work. First class service at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
I have been using a garage for over 18 yrs this yr it closed !! I spoke to my nephew and he started to use Elkins motors and found them very good and fair so I took my car there .. very pleased with the garage I have a total of 4 cars and they will get all of my business from now on ... having said that my focus failed ...???? but only on minor bits will get repairs and take back to them.
Am always very impressed with the service we always get at this garage. My daughter and family had stayed with us for a few days and were about to return to Chester when they discovered the battery was flat so the car wouldn't start. Even though Elkins were busy, they sorted the problem out and my daughter was able to make her journey home. Elkins always goes the extra mile, and we are very grateful for that.
I feel like its important to share my experience so things can improve for the better.
Brought our jaguar mainly to fix the strong rumbling sound which was coming out from the rear of the car.
Later, I've been told that the rumbling sound is coming from the engine and that the engine has to be taken to Jaguars to be open and fixed as they can't take on this issue. Already worried about the cost of engine problem repair.
It still made no sense as the sound didn't seem to be coming out of the engine. So I took it today to get an opinion from local garage called Formula One Autocenters. They looked at the Jag, identified the issue within minutes and car was fixed.
It was nothing to do with the engine, it was just a broken anti-vibration exhaust dumper clamp which cost £60.
We were made to believe that our car had an engine issue and prepared to pay thousands to be fixed.
Fellas at the Elkins are really friendly but...
Highly recommended.. very good standard of professionalism, workmanship and friendliness you'll receive from Elkin Motors. I'm so thankful to my friend who recommended this place for me ????
