Was in London from the US and was looking for some good fish and chips. Saw the positive reviews of this place and tried it. Glad I did! My initial impression wasn’t promising, as the neighborhood and restaurant seemed kind of deserted, but I was here around Christmas so that may have been the reason. Anyway, I asked what the best fish was there and the cook said the haddock, so I ordered the haddock and chips. The cook pulled out a fish and got to work. Eventually I got a big plate of fish and chips. The fish was great, and the chips were even better, some of the best chips I had in London. The mushy peas were also good. And the price was very reasonable, I believe around 13 pounds. You need to walk a bit from the underground or bus to get here but if you’re looking for good fish and chips in London I would recommend it. Oh also, it’s cash only, and don’t expect a fancy interior or anything, but it is clean inside with plenty of seating.
Every Friday I enjoy lovely fish and chips, usually haddock. Last week I had Rock, chips, mushy peas and a Wally. Must say it was cooked to perfection. Staff are brilliant. Nice clean restaurant. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend
Super friendly owners, seems to know the customers well. We got the regular cod and chips. The cod tasted crunchy on the outside yet soft in the inside and the chips were not too salty. PS - they do NOT accept card, so bring cash if you’re planning to visit!

Im not sure if fish and chips can get any better than this.. also very friendly and helpful staff. Was looking for an authentic fish shop and this seemed to be just that. Thank you for the experience!
The WORST fish and chips in SE16! The food is vile! The staff are RUDE! Over priced! Sell under cooked food! And they expect to take cash only... To be honest they're not even worthy of 1 star!
The best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten.
Me and my partner stumbled into this hidden gem when we were told by countless local people.
We definitely enjoyed the price of them both.
Great place to eat, being a vegetarian it's perfect as cross contamination is taken care of.
This was the first time I have been to this place; I was there on 10/05/23, ordered chips and tea to dine in; when I went to sit down I accidentally spilt the tea on the table and on the floor, the staff was so nice, she quickly cleaned it all up and made me another cup of tea.
If anyone is thinking of visiting this chip shop, I would highly recommend it as it's a very spacious and clean place where you can sit and enjoy the food.
I would like to once again thank the staff that had to clean up the spillage.
