Ordered a Type 2 to 13A/Schuko/CEE cable to allow me to charge my Electric Scooter / MotorCycle (Niu MQI GT EVO 2022) used the standard 3 pin plug on standard 7Kw EV charging points (like the ones that we have at our office).

Charged on both of our home chargers (BP Pulse and ProjectEV), and tried a Pod Point at Tesco and a rapid Genie Point station which also has a Type 2 AC connector.

Thanks for sending the Type 2 cable and dust cap out promptly. Your advice was very helpful and I have now successfully fitted and started using my Chargemaster/Polar wall box again having changed the Type 1 cable to a Type 2 for a different car. The You Tube video and photos of various wall boxes was particularly useful especially the two types of Chargemaster/ Polar boxes since mine was the later model but still with a key. Your communications were excellent and I would certainly use you again and fully recommend your services to others .

I ordered parts for an extension lead from Martin so that I could charge my MG5 in the garage or in the drive where the Zappi charger is. I needed a male socket that I attached to an existing box next to the Zappi, an 11m 32a cable, and a female plug to go into the car along with a long torx bit as the screws are embedded quite deep in the plug molding. I also needed an 8 ton hydraulic crimper (ordered separately from OnBuy) and a 220 ohm resistor that I had already to connect the PP-PE pins in the female plug end. The items were shipped quickly and efficiently.

The most difficult part was cutting the hole for the socket in the side of the cabinet and actually finding the information about the wiring.

It is all working perfectly.

Further Review

I'm referring to the T2 - ADP2 Masterplug with standard length cable. I have the Horwin CR6 motorbike with a 3-pin kettle lead charging cable. The EVBitxz lead allows me to use a single phase Type II charging point. So far, tested on the home Podpoint but will also check local Podpoints at Tesco et al.

Unsure how quick but good to know if the Horwin needs an emergency charge away from the house and I can use public charging.

Bought a T2>240VAC with extra length to charge my domestic plug charged Vespa Electrica. Works perfectly.
