Best KPortal Reviews
Very expensive for very small portions. This has excellent previous reviews for both the bread and milkshake but my bacon sandwich was horrible tin loaf (and 50% fat on the bacon), my partner's milkshake was watery skim milk with a gritty strawberry mushed up in it. Actively unpleasant food, so despite nice staff and ambience would not recommend.
Had a great visit to Egg cafe! Wonderful food- bubble and squeaky was amazing, the vegan black pudding was better than your regular black pudding!
Great drinks, friendly and accommodating staff, I had a few delicious Bloody Marys.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
An excellent new addition to the valley!
Thank you for a great dining experience Egg!
there's a limited menu at Egg, but everything on it tastes great. the bread they use is top quality, the eggs are cooked to perfection as you'd expect. I've also had the pimped up beans which are creamy, filling & with a crucial chilli kick. milkshakes are made using real fruit so they taste fresh.
the only problem is that the café itself is tiny. there's only room for two tables outside & three tables inside, and one of those is right next to the counter where customers order & pay, so you're constantly negotiating for space. maybe one day we will get to see a Big Egg?
First visit and had the disco fries!!! Absolutely perfect crunchy fries with cheese and great gravy! I licked the plate, good sized portion but was that yummy I would have had seconds! ????????! Needed it after a 10 mile hike! ????????
The best sausage I've ever had, everything reasonably priced, slightly on the expensive side but in line with the area and the fact its an independent buisness. Eggs done to perfection.
Unfortunately lacking in customer service, almost a feel of the people serving are being forced to be there against their own will, most expensive Egg and Sausage sandwich I think I've had, for it to be undercooked and full of Egg Shell.
Not even a Thank you & Good Bye as you leave, just an awkward stare as you leave.
Has the potential to be brilliant.
Most expensive cafe ive been to. 3 quid for a can of coke, i know we pay sugar tax but thats a joke!! Apparently, if I'd have gone to a bar anywhere around here I would be paying the same. Not that that made me feel any better... also I'm working not bar crawling lol as for the £3 portion of chips (which were handed over to me with marigold gloves on - obviously took a break from cleaning).... I've seen more in my sons happy meal ????. Safe to say it was the first and last time I will enter the egg cafe!
The service is completely unacceptable. Although there was only one other customer before us it took 20 minutes to receive our drinks and 45 minutes to receive our food. (We visited on Tuesday August 22 9:15 am.) We ordered eggs and toast, and veggie sausage sandwich.
