Best Fish and Chips by far! Portions huge always so hot, fresh and tasty!
I used them once before and was very nice but tonight I was very disappointed chips tasted awful and the chicken and mushroom pie was awful the pastry was rock hard I will not be going back
We've had a couple of nice fish and chips from here previously but today was a total disappointment. Bones in every mouthful, tasteless fish, soggy chips. Whoever fillets the fish needs the sack!
The cod was poor which was a shame (dry, overcooked, bland) chips also average to poor. Battered sausage and pie was good though.
The shop looks lovely from the outside and clean. Don’t let that fool you.
The staff are non engaging, taking the local market for granted. I bought a pie and it was like taking a bite of sand. The company policy shouldn’t be what ever we cook we must sell! It should be let’s quality control everything and if it’s not good enough to give to eat then bin it. The pie would have been sitting in the glass warmer since they opened. It was the driest thing I have ever eaten in my entire life and they had the cheek to take my money.
The fish looks the same and to be honest everything in the glass warmer looked dry. I wouldn’t go back because I doubt they would ever change.
When you open a food business don’t just think money. Money is important but not at any cost! What other short cuts are they taking to make money?
I've visited a few times over the last 5 years when staying in the area and I have to say that this place ticks all the boxes.
Food is excellent value for money and really tasty. One way I personally test this is by the type of chicken nuggets offered. These ones are the chicken breast chunks (not the processed McDonald's type) which is normally a sign of quality ingredients. Staff are friendly and just a short wait for food to be cooked. Can't ask for much more.
Stopped here , very hungry after a lovely day at the beach....sorry I did. I ordered 4 medium cod and two chips ( as fish and chip shops always seem to go crazy with chip portions). What a disappointment....never seen such small portions of either fish or chips. Ended up with a child portion at best, even phoned the shop I was so disappointed when I realised. Didn't matter though, all they said was we'll tell them in the shop!! Couldnt recommend this place, if you like fish and chips go to a proper one!
Occasionally we have a fish and chip supper from Edwards. The fish is always delicious and along with the chips, cooked fresh. The delivery service is an added bonus.
