We came in here for pancakes and cake.
The service was good but not table service. The lemon and raspberry cake was very nice. However the pancakes - £1.50 extra for strawberries and there was probably only one strawberry very thinly sliced. Furthermore there was a piece of tomato skin / red pepper skin on my plate. £18 in total for two drinks , a slice of cake and pancakes.
The owners have put alot of work and money into the decor of this place. Love the serving plates. Extremely extensive menu, good pricing, easy to order at the till. Clean and tidy, friendly and efficient staff. Food came in very good time and was well presented. Tasty, good portion sizing, generous varied side garnish with balsamic dressing. Cake selection was large, although bought in and not homemade (these still tend to be lovely though). Can't comment on coffee or cakes etc. but rest assured we will definitely contemplate calling in again next time we are at Retford.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. Waitress' are amazing, quick on their feet to deliver to customers.
The design of the place is beautiful and open. Retro X American diner X british. The design folds into one another nicely whilst also displaying factors of the local area.
Love that the kitchen can be seen so you know what's cooking.
Fresh cakes on display, drinks of all kinds to choose from English tea to American style milkshakes.
Meals differ from breakfasts English and American, dinners of the Mexican, English and American variety. Food was tasty, bacon a little over cooked for some people, but I quite liked it. Had pancakes, bacon, sausage, fried egg and berries and it was delicious.
Tasty burger, price is steep only bc u have to order fries separately; lovely staff; nice environment ????

Excellent place. Great portion sizes and everything we had was delicious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. A very nice cup of coffee, my daughter loved her omelette and we both devoured the cake.
Had a very disappointing experience. We paid £15 for 2 cakes and 2 drinks. I had a flat white which just tasted of hot milk. A can of pepsi for £3. The red velvet cake was very dry, we also had a slither of black forest cake which was half the size of the other which was very disappointing. Service was OK but we were not checked on. Would not go back
My morning breakfast. Having a breakfast warp which tastes very nice and to add the staff are very nice and friendly. And it nice keep going back there un the morning when in town.
Called in for a coffee, ended up having lunch. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Not much of an atmosphere but plenty to look at. Ordered a Panini and Toastie. Not the cheapest in Retford but made fresh and very, very tasty. Will come back to try the burgers ????
