I have been frequenting this amazing eatery for a many years, I can honestly say, Eric and Faiths food is second to none. I sat looking at my amazing dinner this Wednesday with love, so I took a video on my phone to remind me of the excellence of their beautiful food. Fantastic food, fantastic people ❤️ Martin.
Oh my this is REAL CARIBBEAN FOOD that curry chicken was beautiful Mac n cheese never had it like that sorry wife and the cabbage salad thingy offaaa
You pay for a dinner but what you get is a carton packed to the brim with rice and then they put a tiny slither of meat on the tip so it looks like you are getting a full meal but really all you've paid for is a bowl of rice. And I feel that they've done this to a lot of people and the customer doesn't realise till they get home to tuck in, that they've been short changed only difference is they didn't bank on me coming back to ask what they playing at!
There's a supposed man in there who looks like something created when elephant man, some unknown creature and a gorilla breed, who has zero customer service skills and starts shouting off his mouth and screaming like some girl telling you to get out the shop if you dare to complain about the food, lying that he's the manager whilst the real manager (a woman) doesn't nothing to rectify this and just stands there gawping like she's catching flies.
I would NOT recommend this place, you get more value for your money and respect at one of the other more established caribbean food shops closer by on Dudley road. No wander this place never ever has any customers! Not only is the food mediocre but I'm guessing that once customers realise they've been ripped off, they don't come back!
Tip to management, look after your customers and your customers will ALWAYS look after you especially if they're local! Rip them off and watch your business fold within a year because nobody has come back.
Having read reviews we thought we'd give this a go today. Well, all the reviews are correct we can't wait to go again! The food was divine and the owners are so friendly. Both had the medium sized tray and that was a plentiful amount. I had curried chicken, rice & veg my husband had curried goat. A massive round of applause to the owners ????????
Lovely appetising food, great service, the Lady that is at front counter is so lovely and friendly, definitely recommend.
So so fire. I've ordered from loads of Caribbean places in the past and have always been disappointed. I ordered curry goat, jerk chicken and fries dumpling served with rice and peas and steamed veg. Fulla flavour!!!! Curry goat was so tender and not full of bone fragments like some other Caribbeans. Will 100% order again and recommend my friends
Ordered Jerk Chicken/Curried Goat/Oxtail/Rice and Peas/Fried Chicken/Fried Dumplings/Mac & Cheese(I was hungry and the variety of Jamaican food on offer is amazing). Every morsel of every item purchased was fantastic! Full of flavour! Freshly cooked and large portion sizes; excellent value for money! I will definetely be going back even if it is nearly a two hour drive away! What's distance when it comes to excellent food!
Read a load of reviews before trying,but have to say my wife and I tried the dumplings, fried and jerk chicken,curry goat rice and peas with steamed veg and also the chicken curry with the same.
We live in Stourbridge so to travel to Smethwick is a fairly long journey,the food was very tasty and I would not hesitate to travel for another gorgeous spice fix.
Not sure if the cook and the woman front of house were a couple but they were both very friendly and helpful.
