My experiences at Eagle Bridge Pharmacy have been a mixed bag, and I wanted to share my thoughts on their service. While I've never had an issue personally with getting my prescription, there are some notable aspects that could be improved upon.
One of the main drawbacks of this pharmacy is the exceptionally slow service. There always seems to be a queue, and it can be frustrating to wait for an extended period. While I appreciate the efforts of the staff, it would be helpful to receive more explanation for the wait times, especially when there are only a handful of staff visible up front while others are running around at the back.
Despite the slow service, all the staff have always been friendly to me personally. However, I often overhear complaints from other customers about the automated systems sending notifications to collect items that aren't ready. I can understand the frustration for those people, and it would be beneficial for the pharmacy to address this issue promptly.
During my last visit, I noticed the staff trying hard to be friendly and polite, perhaps to compensate for the slow service. While this didn't bother me, I observed some customers becoming verbally aggressive and rude to the staff. It's a shame to see this, as I presume the staff are not to blame for being understaffed or for technology systems not working as they should.
In conclusion, Eagle Bridge Pharmacy has friendly staff, but improvements are needed to address the slow service and communication issues regarding prescription readiness. I hope the pharmacy takes steps to enhance the overall customer experience and alleviate frustrations.
I have been using this chemist for years. Yes it’s often extremely busy (find a drs chemist who isn’t). I’ve waited and listened to the staff be shouted out, blamed and thought who in their right mind would want to work here! Yes it’s so frustrating when they don’t have the medication in (country wide issue), yes they may even make mistakes but cut them some slack they’re trying to do a job that on the most part appears to be quite thankless. Jackie the Pharmacist is brilliant and couldn’t do enough for me regarding my blood pressure.
As an honest reviewer, I don't nit-pick... yes, there is pretty much always a queue; but you expect that for any service that is under such a heavy load... and it's inside, so it's not so bad. I could still have given 5 stars.
Yes, they sell most of the things you would expect from a pharmacy, its not a fantastically stocked shop, but it gets the job done... I could still have given 5 stars.
1 star lost for the perpetual state of being "understaffed" ... understaffed is an accute state of operation when more people than your contingency planned for, call in sick, etc. Being always understaffed is just plain poor management or recruitment issues.
1 star lost for the mistakes they make in the crossover between the text they send telling you that your medication is ready to be collected and the reality when you go in a day or 2 later and it's either not completely done due to a "system issue" or they do not have stock of meds etc which is understandable .... but tell me that in the text ... so instead of ordering online, waiting a few days for the text and another couple before it's convenient to go... so almost a week to make sure it's right so I can just collect ... I practically always end up having to wait in line to get to the counter .... and then wait around in the queue for the chemist to prepare my prescription, which a text told me was already done.
Like I said.. I don't expect the world for a 5 star review ... but a knock stars off for negative elements.
Terrible long queues usually only 1 serving. Double queues because no clear system. Get text to say ‘repeats ready’ then have to wait 40min behind people putting in acute prescriptions and waiting to see the pharmacist., (which is done over counter with no privacy) Chaos. Not fit for purpose , doesn’t have capacity or staff to deal with the huge medical centre with many GP’s & large practices and other healthcare prescribers in centre serving high population.
Ive just had to switch to a new nominated pharmacy because the one I used to go to is currently facing severe challenges. There are significant issues at this pharmacy. Last week, I had to wait for 50 minutes just to be served, and then another 10 minutes to pick up my prescription, which was ready. The customers were lined up out the door, and it was chaotic.
This week, I had to wait for 25 minutes to be served, only to be told that although the prescription had arrived, it wasn't ready. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes while they prepared it. The pharmacy looks like it has been ransacked; the shelves are empty, and what's left is in complete disarray, with boxes scattered everywhere. I saw numerous people being informed that their prescriptions were only partially completed due to stock shortages. I overheard a man questioning why, when he called the pharmacy, they answered the phone and then hung up on him. It's in a state of chaos, and the staff they have seem completely defeated. They work slowly and show no initiative in organizing themselves to tackle the ever-growing queues.
Took me 5 attempts to obtain my medication last month with a wait of between 1 hour and 90 minutes each time. I've now pretty much run out of blood pressure and diabetic meds and prescription still not ready. Lots of things out of stock. Its scary when the meds you rely on are not in stock and they have no idea when or even if you will get them. I do not blame the staff they are taking the flack for all this. Its the management who need to get a grip of this situation. Please sort this out urgently or there will be fatalities.
I have never seen such poor customer service in my life. I spent 70 minutes in line today. Throughout that time, only one person was assisting customers, while at least 4 others were wandering around in the back, for reasons unknown. I have never witnessed such a slow pace of customer service. In my opinion, all of those employees should be let go immediately. If you don't want to spend half your day in line, choose another pharmacy.
When I know I have to attend this hell hole it fills me with dread. The woman with the gray bowl hair cut feels the need to broadcast to the 25 people in the queue what medication my wife is on. And what is this hub thing that we are always being told about, I bet all the brews you see going back and forth don't end up stuck in the void called the hub. It looks like the place has been looted.
OMG noooo the remainder of the medication is not all there. I have to go back again. Crying now
