Had food here and it was amazing!!! Not only is their breakfast great but their afternoon/evening meals were fab. Generous portions and delicious food! Would definitely recommend
Full of noisy kids, seems to be typical of the clientele they are aiming for. Beer was bland , couldn't get out quick enough. Just being honest, staff were polite though.
Absolutely lovely pub, this beach is sensational and thy pub is the icing on the cake. Great beers, absolutely incredible food and great service. We were all truly happy and full when we left.
Awful night in Newgale. Disappointing building. Dead plants and doormat graveyard at entrance up fire escape. Dingy room, dusty and tired. Awful mattress and fold up bed. Bedding dumped in wardrobe. Rusty radiators and 4" shower cord. Insufficient towels.
So glad to find them serving food after a long walk. Portion sizes were generous and in line with prices. Great spot for people/car watching. Lovely bar staff and good selection of ales.
Had a Sunday singer inside who sounded good.
Had a one night stop here on a hiking trip. The pub and rooms are separate.
Pub first: The food was good and the staff were friendky, large portions if a little expensive.
The rooms were well decorated and clean, beds crammed in, but good value and dog friendly (£15 surcharge). It loses a star as there was no hot water in the morning, and as the rooms are self-service there is no-one to talk to. Fit for purpose is probably the best description.
The pub is right by the beach. Busy with holidaymakers. Had a superb pint of Guinness which cost £6 but it was the best I’ve had in Wales for many, many years if not the best ever. Then I had a gammon steak which was v good. The Duke of Edinburgh don’t try and cut corners on how much they give you. Let’s say I didn’t go hungry after eating it as you can see from the photo
I used to go here on occasion while stationed at Brawdy. It was a great place to go after a session of surfing. I was saddened to hear that it recently suffered a fire.
