The restaurant itself was very polite and friendly in trying to find our cottage for delivery, which we appreciated and although given an estimate of 30-45mins for delivery I'm sure it came alot sooner. However, unfortunately the food didn't taste up to par. The chow mein wasn't really a proper chow mein and lacked flavour and taste. The fried rice, was bland and looked like boiled rice with added meat. Other food ordered unfortunately wasn't enjoyed as much due to lacking flavour.
Nice Chinese, we had the salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken, young chow fried rice, BBQ sauce, and the mixed starter platter and some prawn crackers The mixed starter was good the bbq ribs, chicken satays & seaweed & prawn toast.
The young chow fired rice was nice, a little dry for my liking but found the BBC sauce a bit sour but it accompanied the rice nice.
The salt and pepper chicken and chips was decent.
The Chinese was really nice and would go again if we visit the isle of wight in the future.
I never leave negative reviews but today I am absolutely disgusted with with how I was spoken to by the staff at dragon city, not only was the food freezing cold they forgot 3 items when I called to just mention the 3 missing items the women proceeded to call me a liar (our order come to £60+ I had no need to try and haggle some free extras) ???? the women argued her point for 20 minutes that she packed them herself even after being respectful and the items took another 20 minutes to turn up. The whole meal was ruined by how cold it was. I’ve never had a bad experience with dragon city until today but I will absolutely never order from them again! Not even a sorry for forgetting our food or being spoke to like dirt. Disgusting.

Had about 30 meals plus delivered, always good , one order was wrong but could have been me, always read the order back to you. Plenty of meat in main dishes. Would welcome the online page back from before with only 1 phone line.
First time ordering food from here. Telephone answered quickly and order read back to confirm. Meal ready at time stated. We had a meal for 2 which was reasonably priced and tasted fantastic. Even the BBQ ribs were meaty, unlike some that are dry and tasteless.
Would definitely return.
I never and when I mean NEVER LEAVE negative reviews but you have a girl ruining your business on your phone taking orders. I canceled my order and wanted to ring back to speak to the manger and she has taken the phone off the hook, she is screwing up your business. GET RID
The best Chinese takeaway we have had in Newport for years! Fantastic food. The large pancake rolls are packed full of flavour and the Singapore chow mein is so fresh and tasty. Nothing is swimming in grease. Love it????????
