Cannot tell you how much we loved this place! My husband is from Italy and he won't go to Italian restaurant in England - apart from Donzella's! The food is just like what you get in Italy! And so fresh.. Absolutely lovely! I love the lady who runs it, she is hilarious and will have you in stitches! A real character!
We eat at Donzellas once or twice a month. The welcome is always friendly and bubbly; Julie and her team know how to make their guests feel at home.
The menu; whether for lunch or dinner, is always interesting with new recipes and ingredients all freshly prepared. Try the lasagna, lambs liver or fish of the day and you'll see just how much care the chef; Giovanni, takes with their cooking.
Deserts are always a treat as are the home-made ice creams and sorbets with innovative flavours. If you need to avoid gluten ask a few days before and they will prepare excellent alternatives.
The wines are well worth trying too; many are selected and imported by the family directly from Italy so you know you're getting something you're unlikely to buy in a supermarket.
Portion sizes are generous and prices fair and reasonable. what's not to like?

Yet again superb food and service have tried other Italian restaurants but non anywhere as good why bother trying other Italian restaurants xx
