My Mum visited today all the way from the north, driving 6 hours in the rain for this nostalgic food! As kids, me my mum and my brother grew up in London and this was our go to place. It was nice to see that the food still hits the same as it did 20 years ago.
My mum also said the shop worker/owner was incredibly kind and generous and I look forward to re-visiting myself soon despite the distance. Also them fish-bites were new and they’re too good man you’re going to have to slide me the recipe for them.

I contacted Dons hut to cater fried chicken for my party and it was delicious the best I have had all the guests kept coming for more. The customer service is outstanding and even though my order was lat minute Cory still made it happen! Thank you so much I will be back
I came in to get some food for my mum whilst she was in hospital. I was looked after great service very friendly and welcoming. Family fun. Good value for money and portion size was bang on, she really enjoyed the food. Definitely will be back.
Love this shop, My fav is the Red Pea Soup, saying that I have had other meals here and they are just amazing, I eat in during my lunch breaks on a regular and the manager is so lovely, he engages with his costumers and is very polite

The guy running this show is doing the right thing! That pepper steak and jerk chicking is lovely!!! That side sauce over the rice n peas is no joke!!!! Yeah new regular for me ????????????????
We visited here after a funeral & got a great service from the staff. A nice hot meal cooked fresh &tasty. Also had a free slice of cake. Keep on pushing through & serving with a smile ????
So I gave it 3 out of 5 because I feel like this place has potential. Everyone was nice and friendly very neighbourly. But the things that make a restaurant is the food and price, and while the atmosphere was great, the food needs some help.
I ordered a lunch special jerk chicken with a side of callaloo, and it came to £18. The portion size was okay, but quality of the food wasn’t.
The jerk chicken was dry and all bones, and the rice and peas were very dry too. Maybe made yesterday?
I do hope they take this into account because I love Caribbean and would love to see this shop succeed.
