Lovely Fish & Chips bar. Was served by a young lad who was helpful and suggested many things, even though I was not sure what I wanted. The small portion of of chips was too much for me to finish. I asked him to remove half of the chips, because I hate food wasting.
He told me they had about 6 different types of fish, immediately I lost my appetite. Usually, fish in a typically Fish & Chips shops are not seasoned & taste, tasteless. I immediately played safe & ordered steak & kidney pie, small portion of chips & sausage in batter. Enjoyed the meal with cider in The VICTORIA INN Colchester.
Was told sausages are Halal!! Clearly pork!! Also the fish and chips were freezing and soggy. Awful!!!
Excellent fish and chips. Mentioned we like scraps and large portion put in for free. Best I gave had since Whitby last year and great price. 10 out of 10 for service and food.

Probably the worst battered fish that I have ever had. The batter was so undercooked it was inedible. I am definitely anything but a fussy eater but even I couldn't eat this. The chips were good but mushy peas left a lot to be desired. I've used this shop lots of times in the past but it's changed owners so unless they learn how to cook fish properly I think I'll go elsewhere in the future
Absolutely scrumptious halal food! The fish is cooked to perfection with the right amount of batter and salt. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Hoping to come again next week!
ADVOID This place like the plague!!! It's the worst chipshop in history. The food was extremely "Cold and extremely "DRY" the chips tasted really out of date - It was disgusting. and on top of that, it's made me throw up. I am so angry!! This place needs shutting down "completely. The food isn't fit for a dog, let alone humans.
