Wow. I didn't realise chicken balls could taste so good! Nice chicken! Really tasty food. Waiting room was very clean and staff were all looking pristine behind the scenes! I've never been here before now but this is now my Chinese takeaway of choice in Long Stratton ????
Food tasty, although I asked for no egg to be cooked with the noodles, they said that they couldn't do this for me. Every Chinese I've ever been to has been able to do this for me. Shredded chicken wasn't very shredded at all. The sauce was overpowered but cinnamon, which was meant to be sweat chilli sauce.
The service is rubbish, to quote the shift manager supervisor whatever.
When I told him that I wasn't very well and I don't always want to come out I need somewhere that delivers.
'Oh it's not my job I don't care about things like that'.
TBF I think it was more his language that was getting in the way.
But your not supposed to say things like that to customers.
My own complaint really with this takeaway place and the other one is that they don't deliver...
Not even locally.
They've got to get something sorted out about that.
Found literal plastic in my food, some dishes were good despite this but was a bit overpriced
Curry sauce leaked all over bag few weeks ago as not packed correctly. Today missing rice from order. Always seems to be a problem of late, can't even get through to complain.
The chicken balls are good and despite reading another review I actually thought the satay sauce was good too. However we bought enough for the six of us as a treat. We don’t get to have Chinese as much as we once did. So based on having quite a few dishes to try, we all shared, this is probably as a whole the worst Chinese I have ever had. The special fried rice tasted like it was only boiled, The duck chow mien was so dry, everything just lacked any flavour and sauce. Sorry but New Hong Kong 50m down the road is miles ahead. I am not one for normally writing reviews but this was just so bad!!
I will be honest I've seen a few bad reviews but we had chicken satay which my mum very much enjoyed, i had spicy tofu which was cooked perfectly and was a generous portion. I eat from alot of different chineses and this was really delicious tonight.
Since the new owners have taken over the food is not good at all! The satay sauce tastes like curry/vomit and the rice is hard! The previous owner was an amazing Chinese cook, but unfortunately I won't t be going back... Ever!
