Loved the waterfall. We parked just off the road right next to the falls and made our way down to the bottom of the falls. If you are doing that please be mindful that the path is uneven without anywhere to hold onto. On a wet day I would advise against going down.
Also took the walk on the Royal Deeside way which is a lovely path good for buggies. Saying that be prepared for a pretty steep ascent.
It’s a nice little waterfall hidden in the woodlands. There is not enough space to park the car just 2 or 3 next to A980. There is a trail that begins elsewhere that one can take or just walk upto the fall which is a bit steep but pets can follow. Also there aren’t any signboards so just follow the map.
Gorgeous little 'secret' at the side of the road. Room for 3 cars at a push and you can either take the long way which is only a few minutes walk over a wooden bridge through the woods or take the short and more perilous way down directly from where the no BBQs sign is. I wouldn't advise that route on a rainy day but when the ground is dry it's not horrendously bad if you're with someone else so you can help each other! A super place for a wee dook on a hot day
Not the biggest but still worth visiting. Parking near by was an serious issue. There is small bay just above the fall ( max 3 cars) but you have to go all the way to main path or you can go down via very steep, narrow path right from the layby. Alternatively, park close further away and use main path to get there. Good boots recommended.
10 minute to walk to the waterfall, over a wooden bridge to cross the river then through a wooded area.
You can take the main path to the right and have a view down to the waterfall or take the left and head down a muddy path, slip when wet, bring you to the river edge and then the waterfall.
Parking is limited, only a few cars but free.
Many other trails nearby including the Deeside way.
Hidden gem. No signage and not much parking. But adults should be able to climb down for a quiet and beautiful view of the waterfall
Lovely place however hard to get to. We parked in the layby next to the waterfall and took the very steep path down to it. However we followed the road along and found a walk that takes you past it aswell. It's a nice path past the waterfall. It called The deeside walk.
I went the quick route down which I would not advise unless you're able bodied. This route takes you straight down to the waterfall so you're on the left side of the falls. It is steep, rocky, slippery, and dangerous. When I come back I'll go on the right path or walk in from kincardine. I've added some photos so you can judge for yourself ????
