I recently dined at desi wala a couple of days back. It’s Bengali restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The Bangladeshi shingara I had was absolutely amazing, offering a burst of authentic flavors that transported me to Bangladesh. The masala milk tea was a highlight, perfectly brewed and served with care. The ambience was charming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complemented the delicious and halal meal. And I must say, the homely staff added an extra layer of warmth and hospitality that made the entire experience truly exceptional. Highly recommended!
Fantastic deshi style food. We had the breakfast thali with beef and chicken.
Visited today for a quick Desi Desh food. Hoping to get some reminiscing on old times taste bud. Not sure if I got that.
Staff - Family Oriented - Great and Service too. Very supportive.
Price - Decent.
Location - Good. Car parking free after 6:30pm otherwise residential parking or pay and display. Pay by Phone - location 70201.
It's a nicely located tucked in corner.
Menu not arrived yet. Fairly new on the eating in market. On paper. Not much on offer at the moment.
My family and I dined in there today to check it out. Atmosphere was good.
Family welcome, but not in large seating. It's comfortable.
Space wise not that bad slight compact. Decorative good like to feeling. I wanted to feel more deshi experience not sure if that's their yet.
Food - Not much of options just yet. Daal it's was great. Food Biriyani Lamb and Beef. Chicken Samosa and chips and Lohttah with Is-saah dish.
Biriyani usually comes with side dish like daal or curry with salad. But not with this. Pretty much simple biriyani offered dish and not much meat in it to be honest. That part let me down.
I liked the presentation, taste was good but I honestly think you can do much better. I think it's got lots of potential.
I would like to come again!
Not tried their desi tradition tea. Next time. I didn't see much of desert options like to see that next time.
See you then. Please Let me know like to come and review again.
People were very nice and welcoming makes a difference.
Our family meal came to £30.
Fantastic spot for Bengali food! The person who runs this place is a real pro. They give amazing service and cook up some super tasty dishes. It feels really personal and welcoming – you can tell they put their heart into it. Definitely a must-try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some of our friends went there for chotpoti a Bangladeshi snack but they recommended their pitha which was beyond of our explanation. Then we had our desired chotpoti too and the taste of their chotpoti amazed us.Best in London. The koliza singara was just something we didn’t expect .We enjoyed our evening and thanks goes to staff who were much friendly. Finally we got taler pitha that was something new to me and that was good to.
Overall everything was at top notch and must recommend.
Deshi Wala Ovaroll is a true culinary gem. The dining experience here is characterized by outstanding food, impeccable service, and a staff that warmly welcomes you. The added bonus of offering Halal foods makes it an excellent choice for diverse palates.
It’s just 15 days In Uk and I was craving for deshi food. Visited today. All dishes were mouthwatering and I really felt like I am home. Thanks to the owners. I will surely visit again with family.
They took the word “puri” too seriously that in belpuri they put topping on top of dal puri. The muri vorta tasted bland, made with only mustard oil and some salad. It was a complete waste of money. There’s no authenticity or taste
