I had an appointment today, I arrived with my 1 year old daughter and my appointment was upstairs. They parked my pram behind reception while I went upstairs with my daughter. Both the dentist and the dental nurse were incredible with her. They amused her by giving her things to play with and playing cartoons while I had my appointment. I was very anxious about having to bring her along with me but they made it so easy. I had a thorough check up, scale and polish and X-rays taken. Very pleased.
I'm only leaving a review because of what happened to me last year. I was suffering a huge toothache, I called and told them how much pain I'm in and needed an appointment, they said they're fully booked for 1 month and don't do out of hours. So I called the GP told them what's going on and they found an out of hours dentist in Larkfield which I had to go at 7pm. I was prescribed amoxicillin but won't take the tooth out that's infected because the procedure based on numerous of patients uses this option as it's cheaper than having it extracted it???. Luckily i went on holiday few weeks later to India to see my in-laws, the dentist there is far more courteous, professional and spoke to me throughout the procedure just to see if I'm ok whilst doing extraction and filling plus I had a consultation with him which cost nothing beforehand and the whole thing only cost me £45!. Dentist here are leeches and very limited of what they can do and that's why they refer you elsewhere to get it done.
Came for a check up appointment last week. Was very happy with general service. All waiting areas appear extremely clean and tidy. The receptionist was polite. The waiting time was short. Uzma, the dentist gave a very thorough check up and asked relevant questions. Altogether very happy with the professionalism in this practice.
My appointment was cancelled 15 minutes before my appointment due to the dentist being stuck in traffic. The receptionist wanted to cancel my appointment but I explained that I had taken the day off work for this appointment and that I could come in as soon as the dentist got in as I lived less than 5 minutes away. My appointment was the first appointment of the day. The receptionist agreed to this but 5 minutes later another receptionist rang me and said the appointment was being cancelled. I was appalled that my appointment was cancelled and believe it was because I was an NHS patient and not a private patient. I said I was really upset as I had had to build myself up to go through with this appointment as I am scared of dentists. I never even heard back from the dentist about this! I will never ever go back there!!
Had to have a tooth out. The whole process was explained carefully beforehand and throughout the procedure the dentist reassured and told me what was about to happen. It was pain free and relatively quick. Very impressed with not just this visit but all my visits over the past few years. Friendly, skilled dentist.
My family and I have been coming here for years.The dentist accidentally cut my tongue with one of the instruments causing some bleeding. It is uncomfortable and no big deal. However the dentist refused to own up to it or apologise which would have sufficed. Very unprofessional practice. My family and I have now changed dentists. Would avoid at all costs!
If your looking for dental implants or advice, forget it. I had waited 3 months for a referral to a third party professional. When I complained (several time) at the length of time and after my old tooth falling out and a lot of discomfort, BUPA regional manager got involved and booked me an appointment directly, but when I took the day of work to attend, no appointment was registered. I complained again and was promised a call back from BUPA that afternoon. I'm still waiting 3 days later. Service and customer care is obviously not their priority and they are more cash customer centric.
The dentist himself was brilliant! But the receptionists should go on a customer service course! Down right rude and disrespectful! I understand the rules of 24 hours notice to cancel appointments but as a mother of 4 children 6 and under and 7 weeks away from giving birth and everyone in the house being struck down with a sick bug how on earth can I give 24 hours notice?? Ring to explain to be spoken to rudely and to have the phone put down on me!! Not happy!
