Best butcher around!! We had Tom and his team supply our wedding guests with a BBQ GRILL FEAST, the food was absolutely outstanding and everyone loved it!! Even the Veggies haha. Top of the range meat, amazing service... thank you Tom and everyone at Deakins ????
OMG best pie EVER. bought a steak and potato pie at eckington market yesterday. I never leave reviews but just had to make the effort. The pastry was amazing -best you’ll ever taste on a shop bought pie, just like home made. Meat was tender, not like the usual chewy , undercooked steak you usually find in pies. Honestly the best pie I’ve tasted. Will definitely be buying again !
Really good meat , I find the pork pies very good and spicy with the right amount of jelly. Pork and beef meat balls my wife makes are delicious, Go and get some meat you won't be disappointed.
A newby to the village (with a tan) of Tibshelf and a wonderfully warm welcome. I had heard of the pies so picked up a 'Steak & Stilton' family pie and an apple and blackberry one that I knew my fella would love. Along with my purchase, 2 unexpected warm sausage rolls that were delicious. ( I didn't eat them both btw). Called in again and this time bought 'Lamb, mushy peas and mint pie' (another award winning pie no less). A warm welcome by ALL the staff, thank you for making me so welcome to the village.
We moved to newton village just over a week ago now and got recommended this butchers ,so we went and purchased some meat and pies ,fantastic staff had a good chat with one telling us about the farm and we’re all the produce came from etc very interesting to them find out our new home backs onto there farm and grounds lol
But the pies was very nice indeed also has some tomato sausages which was again very tasty ,I would share a picture but they go eaten to quick before I could think out picking my phone up ,lovely butchers and I’ll most definitely use again ,price also was good ????
Picked up a steak and ale family size pie at Eckington Market today whilst out with my 2 boxers.
Just had it for tea with my wife
along with chips, peas and gravy.
I have to say and so does my wife who doesn't usually clear her plate that this is the best pie we have in years and will be back to try the others.
The only losers this time were the dogs.
Picked up 2 steak and ale pies on Eckington Market - gorgeous pastry packed full of succulent steak. Excellent quality and great price!
