I've lived in many towns and citys through the years and always had a favourite chippy wherever I've been. I have to say Dave's Place is the best of the best with consistently good food and a great team to serve it up. It never fails to deliver.
Good quality food, quick service and excellent value for money without compromise of quality/portion. Brilliant special off deals too. Definitely the best chippy around.
Last night we went popped in. We were not expecting great things but we were impressed, I am allergic to wheat and was amazed st the quality of the fish and the chips. Fantastic thank you.
Can't believe I have never been to this chippy it was only by chance because my usual chippy put there prices up so much I went somewhere else.very clean place and the food was so Fresh not warmed up from dinner. decent portions and prices well done you gained a new family.
I often call at this chippy and have to say the service and the food are always top class and they took every precaution they could when covid was rife. Well done to all the lovely staff you deserve an award!!

Just been in DaveS Place which we use quite often for family fish n chips.
Today it was just me and I ordered large battered sausage, chips and gravy open, and a can of pop, the price £6.10, paid this no problem.
While waiting I noticed the lunchtime specials menu, sure enough large battered sausage, chips, any sauce (gravy included) any can of pop , served between 12 - 2pm £3.99.
It was 1-45pm so I asked why I’d been charged £6.10 and not £3.99, the reply, I never asked for the special, I asked is it exactly the same and the lady said yes, so I asked again why I’d not been charged £3.99, Dave’s son then interjects and also says “you didn’t ask for it from the specials board”.
Even though it’s the same meal as the deal??
Totally unfair, a rip off and myself and my family will never use them again.

Poor poor customer service Dave from your staff.

Best chippy in Nottinghamshire..Great choice of food and gluten free menu but above all a Fantastic team and always get great service with a smile from all the staff!
