Best KPortal Reviews

If you like exploring different flavours, this Korean restaurant is worth a try! The starters are good – I loved the spinach, soybeans, cabbage, and seaweed. My beef and vegetable main dish had a fascinating sweet and savoury mix. Prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient. Be aware – it gets crowded and noisy, so book a table in advance for a smoother experience.
This restaurant is for real “Daebak” which means “amazing”!????????????
The chicken is absolutely delicious! I haven’t had such a nice KFC for a long time not even in HK. The chicken is very tender and juicy inside while crispy with the skins and layers outside. The flavour is so good too. We ordered honey cheese power and garlic soy. They are my favourite for sure!
We also tried seafood pajeon, jajangmeon and kimchi fried rice. They are average in general not impressive but not bad at all.
I highly recommended to visit here for the fried chicken!!! It only cost £24 for the whole basked of 16 pieces fried chicken with two flavours! Please do come promise me????
Very nice. Great food. The portions are very generous for the right price. The food arrived quickly and the service just on point. If you looking for an authentic Korean cuisine don't miss this place. Keep it up Daebak
If you’re on the hunt for authentic and flavorful Korean cuisine, look no further! From my experience, this spot truly captures the essence of Korea with its diverse and savory dishes. I particularly enjoyed the ramen with chicken katsu, which was an absolute delight with its perfectly cooked noodles and crispy chicken. Additionally, the Chicken Teriyaki is a must-try—each bite was a burst of rich, umami flavor that left me craving more. Like other reviewers, I was impressed by the efficient service and the bustling, lively atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s clear why it’s so popular. Definitely book ahead to avoid the rush, and prepare yourself for a culinary journey that’s both exciting and satisfying. Highly recommend visiting Daebak!
Really good food and service. Busy place and for good reason! We ordered kimchi fried rice, KFC, tempura prawns and another chicken mains! All was great! Highly recommend!
I went here with a friend for a casual dinner and was really excited as I love good Korean food. I spent 6 weeks in Korea just after uni and embraced ALL the food so it’s lovely finding food which reminds me of that time.
It has a cafe feel, with simple wooden tables and a menu written above the kitchen area. Service was prompt and professional. Definitely don’t be fooled by the menu outside on the window which we were eying up as we queued (it was a Friday night they weren’t taking any more reservations. We arrived just after 7pm and had a 20 min wait for a table) - the actual menu is pretty extensive and has all your Korean staples included KFC (Korean Fried Chicken, Joachaim, Bibimbap etc).
However I was a little disappointed with the food when it did arrive. I ordered the tofu and egg bibimbap. The tofu was really well done (crispy cubes, all chewy and squishy on the inside) but instead of what I was expecting - a freshly cracked egg which then went all gooey when it was stirred in - there was a fried egg instead. It was still good but it meant the dish felt more dry than I expected. It went went will the hot sauce which was on the table.
We also had the tasting starter - crispy seaweed, bean sprouts, green veg and kimchi which was good.
On a whim (and because I’m greedy), I ordered the prawn tempura. An absolute favourite. The tempura was heavier than I expected (maybe I’ve just been to places where they do it differently? ????????‍♀️) but as a result it felt a little more greasy than I liked.
Overall, the food is tasty and I’d love to go back to try the KFC and the Japchae as they looked really good.
First time in here and my friends and I were just craving some Korean chicken. I was surprised on how tasty juicy and crunchy they were! I recommend the honey Korean Fried chicken and the Garlic ones.
One of the best Korean food in town. The restaurant always busy so reservations needed. All food were very tasty and not too spicy. The staff were very nice and service mind. Fired chicken is the best. Highly recommended.
