Don’t usually leave reviews however the cod was dreadful and threw most of it away. Batter was soggy, fish had a horrid texture and all stuck to paper. Sorry lads but you need up your game.
Very disorganised... There was a lady who served me on the 18th January 2024, in the evening about 7pm or after, i clearly asked for the Tandorri chicken and some donner meat, i was given a mixed kebab and it tasted not good ie the meat was old stock. i will never go back there for kebab meat
Went in on Saturday evening for a small fish & chips for my granddaughter ordered it , the chips looked ok but I know I asked for a small fish and chips,I could have got a bigger fish out of my fish pond and instead of the batter being crisp and golden it was soggy and soft and the fish inside was not much better the curry sauce was ok ,the fish was also wet in fact I say rubbish
Never had to give a bad review for this fish and chip shop before but tonight we ordered online and collected around 5.20 It was really bad, as soon as i opened the chips you could tell they were leftovers from lunchtime There was loads of big chunks of fish batter in the chips and i hate fish and you could taste it in all the chips and there were hardly any whole chips at all just scrag ends, the kebab we ordered had so little chilli sauce on you couldent taste it Also the whole meal was barely warm and we only live 2 minutes away So angry when you support these local businesses and waste your hard earned money Will be trying knowle fish bar next time or Nelsons fish bar
Overcooked, tough , fish with the texture of chewing gum , slimy batter that stuck more to the paper than the fish. Chips were terrible. What a waste of money.

They do need to balance their online orders with their in shop customers, as items like haddock that have been ordered online for pickup have been given to people waiting in the shop instead.
Ordered on line, but the food wasn’t ready when I arrived even though the shop was empty. Worst quality I’ve ever had from Dorridge. Grey soggy chips and a piece of cod that had a thick thick batter that couldn’t be cut, just broken open. With very little fish inside. £8.40 for the fish - totally unacceptable.. usual big guy not there tonight so it’s going to hell. Sort it..!!
Very disappointing, ordered food for delivery which arrived just warm. After reheating it all in the microwave, the salad in my kebab was best described as cooked! To add insult to injury, the curry sauce I ordered and paid for was missing. I think it’s time to go back to the chippy in Knowle.
