Grazie Giuseppina, per gli bruschette, gli bicchiere de Vino de il sua "uncle" y il tiempo bellisimo en il suo piccolo ristaurante!
On a recent trip to Tuscany we had the pleaseure of spending a couple of days with the beautiful family from Cucina Guiseppina.
We spent a wonderful day with Guiseppina and Antonella in their incredible Cooking School (see my previous review) which was absolutely awesome and one of the highlights of your trip. We really can't recommend this experience highly enough - it was fantastic!
We spent another day with Luigi, Luca, Simone and Riccio on thier Truffle Hunt. This day was equally as incredible. What an experience, made even more special by the beautiful family that makes you feel so special and welcome. Riccio is such a funny, clever dog, and very good at his job, which you can see he absolutely loves! Experiencing first hand how the truffles are found and collected is something I will never forget.
We then went and shared a delicious meal that Simone prepared for us, overlooking the families farm. The food was incredibly delicious, and many of the items were topped with some shaved truffle from our mornings hunt.
The whole family is very welcoming, kind and generous (and funny) which creates a whole experience that makes you want to stay and spend more time with them. It was very sad to leave, but I know we will be back one day and share your beautiful experiences and food with you once again.
Glenn and I cannot thank you enough.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Luca, Simone and Luigi were so very welcoming .. we really felt like we were being entertained by family. The hunt was truly a storybook activity, one we'll never forget. The lunch, held on a scenic perch overlooking the families amazing farm was the perfect spot for some terrific conversation and an amazing lunch complete with the some of the amazing truffles from the hunt. I could go on forever about how special this time was. Do not hesitate to book this.
If you are in Tuscany and want to experience and learn how to cook authentic Tuscan food, then you must do a class with Guiseppina and Antonella.
What a fantastic day we had. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and were offered delicious local treats and wonderful family wines.
The class size was small (6 People) which allowed everyone to participate in the hands on class and we prepared an amazing feast which we enjoyed overlooking the beautiful Tuscan scenery towards San Gimingnano.
It was even more special knowing that the olive oil we used came from their own olive trees, and the wines were from their family winery.
Guiseppina and Antonella were very knowledgeable, welcoming (and a lot of fun) and made our day very special.
They also do other tours, such as their winery and Truffle hunting (which we are joining today!).
They also had some beautiful items to purchase from their shop,as memories of our class, such as ceramics, kitchen items, wines and Guiseppina's two cookbooks.
I highly recommend the class and we will definitely be back again on our next visit.
My mom and I had a wonderful time! We started at a cafe, went shopping for groceries at the local baker, butcher, and farmers market, with tastings offered along the way.
Wine, herbs and olive oil was from the family farm. We made a 4 course meal, simple and delicious. The kitchen is also adorable with a beautiful view. Highly recommend!
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. A beautiful family business and a lovely way to spend a day. Certaldo Alto and the surrounds are so picturesqueand easily accessible by car or train. The hunt, led by Luigi and Luca (father and son) was such a memorable experience, and I loved watching little Rospo dart around the forest. The lunch was prepared by Giuseppina (the mother) and it was PHENOMENAL. Served family style (I promise you will not leave hungry) and with the Family's own wines, each dish was so flavourful and of course each dish featured the truffles we had found that morning. If you are in Tuscany this is an unmissable experience!
