Easter Sunday 2 friends of mine came down from London. We went here for lunch. Food was plentiful, great quality and tasted amazing. ???? we ate Inside. Plenty of outside space to eat in the summer. They also have lots of themed nights, which look great fun. Well worth a visit. We will return.
Liked it, friendly landlady, went in for one drink, ended up having 2 or 3. Cosy atmosphere, can't really comment on food as just grabbed a couple of starters but the other people eating looked happy. Thought this would make a good local. Will go again. Simon and Claire
Lovely old pub with lots of history, good pints on tap and proper pub food including excellent gluten free options, and comfy room for a solid night's sleep
Popped in after a Christmas eve morning walk, and were very kindly accommodated for food as well as a drink. Braised lamb was on as a special, and it was truly amazing!!

Staying here for work and cant fault it at all. Rooms have been updated but still inkeeping with the age of building. Nice comfy bed and clean room. Evening meals were amazing especiallythe suet pudding. Will definitely be returning
