I don’t usually leave reviews but felt obliged to after our experience here. We had been told to expect a 30 minute wait when ordering food which was no problem. However, 30 minutes rolled by, then an hour. We had asked where our food was and why it was taking so long, to which the manager had replied it will be out in a minute. As we were a big group, we had ordered separately, with us being the last of the group. The rest had been waiting an additional 15 minutes. Finally 1hr 15 minutes in our first meals arrived missing the coleslaw. Usually this would not be an issue, however due to the fact we had already waited so long and the lack of care from the manager already, we were frustrated nonetheless. We had also informed the manager at this point that others in the group had been waiting 15 minutes longer and had still not received their food to which he replied “oh have they”. He then rushed out with their food which included the “award winning pie” still frozen in the middle! The rest of our food didn’t arrive for an additional 15 minutes (in total 1hr 30 mins wait!) At this point, we had lost both our interest and appetite and insisted on a refund. Sadly, without any apologies from the manager, he left it to one of the bar staff to sort out our refunds, who tried her best to be as friendly and helpful as possible, but was very clearly stressed out and overwhelmed with the situation. The rest of the food which wasn’t frozen, was mediocre at best. Nothing was fresh, all frozen. I am extremely disappointed with our experience and wouldn’t recommend to anybody. I am mostly disappointed with the reaction from the management leaving the staff to deal with their issues, and the lack of care for the situation as a whole!
The lady who served us was lovely. The food on the other hand was awful. My sons "award winning pie" was frozen solid in the middle. After 90 minutes wait you'd think it would be cooked. The rest of the food was no better. Completely ruined a family night out. Nowhere else to get food as the nearest eatery was a car drive away. Appalling at best.
Absolutely horrendous experience. Told the food would be 30 mins, no problem we can wait. After repeatedly being told it was on its way, 90 minutes later the food arrives. The apparently "award winning" pie was FROZEN solid on the inside. No apologies from manager, demanded a full refund of the bill, but even that wasn't enough, ruined the entire night. All the food was absolute garbage microwave meals that did arrive. Do not go anywhere near this dump.
Awful Experience! We visited with family whilst staying on the park. When we ordered we were told there was 30 minute wait which we didn’t mind. After a hour of waiting and being told it was on its way, The first meal out of the 6 we ordered came out an 1hr 30 mins later! Part of the meals missing because they had ran out! Kids Pasta bake was horrendous, congealed and inedible! Or in our 7 year olds words Absolutely Awful!!! The final meal came out 1hr 45 minutes later, again missing items! Tuna and cheese panini was soggy. My partner and I had to share a £16 chicken burger which was basically 2 Birds Eye microwave chicken fillets on a bun and a bit of rocket. No cheese, no coleslaw as stated on the menu! Disgusting! We received no apology from the Manager who just stormed off with his head down and left one of the ladies behind the bar to deal with us after we demanded refunds. Food is disgusting and overpriced! My brother and his family had the same issue and his ‘Gold Medal Winning’ Pie came out frozen after 90 minutes!! DO NOT waste your time or Money here!
The food here is hell on earth. Frozen food being served is unacceptable. A four year old could have made better food
This holiday park is lovely and my review of the park is in no way related to this establishment. One lady serving food in my opinion had a good customer service skills and we thank her for her hospitality.
Everything else needs to be looked at training received by staff in customer service and hospitality would be a great start . This place could be fantastic. Food I’m sorry but it’s some of the worst food I’ve had in ages, I recommend you give it a miss . But don’t be put of the holiday park it’s lovely had good customer service and plenty of good points. Plenty of good places to eat in local area . Ok for a drink.
Lovely friendly staff, nicely done out pub. Food was poor being largely microwaved/frozen food. Beer decent. They have a captive market from the caravan site. We'd eat elsewhere next time but come back for beers.
Only giving it 1 star because I can’t give it 0. Wouldn’t feed my dog this food. No apologies from the manager either. Awful place. Avoid at all cost!!!
