Traditional fish and chip shop, run by a family business. Lovely ladies, friendly and chatty. Fresh fish cooked to order with crispy batter. Proper chips, none of it swimming in grease. Served as it should be in a greaseproof chip bag and wrapped in paper. Very enjoyable.
What a disappointment! Was looking forward to some proper seaside chips on our holiday and we were greeted by two unfriendly members of staff. The chip portion size was a joke! You hardly got any for £3.20. Then you get charged 30p for using your card. The taste wasn't brilliant.. Such a shame ????
The 2 ladies were delightful but unfortunately the food was not. We were a party of four and we all agreed the fish and chips were not good. The only good thing is the fish is cooked fresh. There are far better fish and chips shops within a short driving distance. Very greasy and very poor taste.
Think this chippy needs closing. Two staff in there, not a clue what they were doing. Couldn't work out what change was needed from a £20 note. When food was ready, they didn't know how to wrap it. Ordered two large chips, received this!! And then found out they cook it all in beef dripping, so no good for us as we have a vegetarian in the family.
I think the management need to step in and seriously review this establishment.
0 stars . Overpriced and Undercooked and extremely greasy and tasted like you had same oil for years left a horrible taste in my mouth and feel poisioned. Breadcake tasted of washing up liquid. Absolute rip off do not go hear people!!!!!a batterd sausage chips and gravey x 2 cost me £15. It wants shutting down. A customer Infront of me ordered a pie and they brought it out the microwave. I normally save my dogs some left overs after going to the coast but these were that bad I woudlt even let my dogs have them. The only good thing about this chippy is that it's quite close to the Clif edge so it shouldn't be that long untill the sea erodes it
Chip portion sizes are a joke, would be funny if it wasn't such a con. Disgrace.
Don’t bother wasting your money! Despite being so close to the sea, the fish was not fresh, the batter was greasy and the peas looked like they had been boiled to death! This place will never win a customer service award, miserable staff and they charged us 30p for using card machine claiming it was a cost towards the wi-if. More like a cash in hand ploy to avoid the tax man!
Terrible!!!!!
Please do not use this chip shop! Waste of £20! Ordered fish and chips twice and a spam fritter, curry sauce and mushy peas! Well, firstly they couldn’t wrap the food, the fish batter was so greasy it was inedible, my husband took one bite out of the spam fritter and spat it out! It all tasted as if it was cooked in old oil!
Do not waste your money!
