The black forest gateau is delicious. They had a branch in Edgware Road (W2) years ago when I was growing up as child. My birthday cakes were always from there. Their black forest gateau is really the star of the show.
The bagels are pretty nice too. They have a nice variety of flavours.
However the coffee is not great, they are still using instant granules and not using fresh milk - this is virtually a must in this day and age. They need to buy a proper coffee machine to provide the coffees people have come to expect.
I would give them a five star but the service is not the best, the owner/manager an older gentleman is quite sharp with the customers and they often do not have a working card machine.
If they got a proper coffee machine and improved customer service and consistently allowed card machines they would get top marks. This is intended as constructive feedback - please work on it!
Wide selection of bakery items but better cream cheese and salmon bagels can be found elsewhere in London. They don't make them fresh in front of you and are a little pricier than say brick lane or golders green but still an ok option for a quick bite in the area.
Good authentic bagels. Especially warm and chewy and delicious in the morning when they've just been made. (I suppose the previous reviewer came at some other time.) Pitas are good too.
Worst place ever. It's so dirty and the way they make a pre made sandwiches is disgusting. They touch them sith their hands and they clean the bakery and the surfaces properly. They're staff are incredibly rude and their cakes are not fresh at all. All the birthdays cakes are frozen and they've been made for at least a week and they sell them as a fresh cakes. Avoid this place.
Lovely Bagels and very Friendly Staff. Coffee was also really good. It has a few tables outside which I appreciated.
Good bagels. Lots of other bakeries and patisserie. They don't take card payments.
Also serves coffee to go.
If your hungry forgot it, Bagels are tiny , pre-made and cold . Tried the salt beef , its just a sloppy mess of sauce and tiny bits of thin beef , really really disappointing .
The shop is not very inviting, and looks quite unclean. The staff are not particularly helpful, and there is not a wide variety of produce available. I purchased a bagel which was overly chewy and not very nice to eat
