Very friendly staff, quick and prices are good. Parking can be an issue during busy times but generally a place is available very close to the chippy. I've been visiting for several years and the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that the cooking of the chips can be inconsistent, but that maybe just my preference. Definitely one of the best around.????
This is our local chip shop, serving fish, pies, sausages, etc and chips to takeaway. Payment is cash only and the food is almost cooked to order. There is limited parking in the road outside, so if you live too far away to walk then it probably pays to telephone your order in advance, as you may have to wait a little while for your order. The food is good with plenty of chips. If you can't eat them all they can be frozen and are still very nice when reheated. We get food from here several times a year as a treat.

Had food from here a few times and the quality has gone down hill with every order.
Often we find by the time we've got home that items are missing from the order, small things like sauce pots and things like that.
But our most recent meal was awful. Fish really dry and chewy, and chips massively undercooked. Almost rock solid.
I must say, the first time we ate from here it was great, but over time this takeaway has really gone downhill and we won't be ordering from here anymore.
For anyone visiting the area or thinking of this place, avoid and take the trip 5 mins down the road to Broadstone where there are a few things on offer to choose from. Your evening and dinner will be much better if you do that.
Delicious fish and chips. Generous portions, very well cooked. First time I visited, definitely won't be the last.

Went yesterday for lunch, had a large cod and chips and was completely blown away! Totally unexpected. The shop is very clean and the staff are both friendly and efficient. The food, just wonderful. The cod was thick and over a foot long and the chips were perfect. Not greasy at all. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. I'll be coming back with family, friends and anyone who'll listen.
WORST fish and chips ever! Asked for vinegar and salt on small packets (They didn't have any) so I agreed for them to put vinegar on my fish and chips even though I don't like mine getting soggy. I tasted the fish & chips in the car and there wasn't any salt and not a taste of vinegar. I went back and bought a bottle of vinegar from them. It wasn't even malt vinegar which explains the lack of vinegar taste(see ingredients, caramel thingy causes cancer). I was willing to eat the fish and chips even though the experience with them was bad. The worst part is, they tasted the worst fish and chips I ever tasted! I should've read ALL the reviews first. So disappointed!
Food and service is great. Price is really good. Staff seem a little cold and unfriendly, maybe because they are so busy and want to crack on.
