We had an excellent overnight stay here. The owner Jo was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. The room was spotless, warm and comfortable and had everything you would need. We had great views through the skylight window and even saw a shooting star as the night was so clear.||Breakfast was amazing, great choice, freshly cooked, and great helpings too.||We also had the added bonus of being allowed to meet the owners 3 dogs who were so gorgeous , they are kept out of the way of customers, but we did request to meet the dogs and were delighted that we could!||We had stayed here many years before when the B&B was under different management, it was great then too, and we were so happy that the excellence of this B&B has continued. It is very convenient for the ferry from Gills Bay to Orkney, and right on the NC500 route too||We would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone

Amazing B&B, Jo and her husband were lovely and very welcoming. Rooms were lovely, super homely feel which is great made us feel relaxed and at home straight away, beds very comfy and rooms perfectly clean. We booked out the whole B&B so got to see all the rooms and all were of the same high standard.
Breakfast was delicious! She took our order the night before and everything was perfect exactly how we wanted it, tons of toast and hot drinks.
Cannot recommend this place more highly.
We had a great breakfast here. A traditional breakfast with excellent coffee. If you are hungry. Jo and her husband let passers by join their overnight guests to stop for breakfast. Also they are very flexible and will provide things off the menu like porridge.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a trip to Scotland and cannot rate it highly enough. Jo was a brilliant host, so friendly and helpful and really thoughtful! We not only had the lovely and most generous breakfasts but also booked in for dinner every night as the food was so good. Eating in the conservatory, we enjoyed the spectacular views and with the wood burning stove lit, it was toasty warm too. Our room was really spacious and comfortable and also had the views over Dunnet Head as well as Orkney. ||If you’re looking for somewhere to stay on the North Coast, you won’t find better!
We stayed in the family room for 2 nights. Really comfy room, with everything we needed, and easy parking on site. Jo was friendly and really helpful with suggestions of places to go, local walks and things to see (which I don't think we would have found out about otherwise).||||We enjoyed Jo's thoughtful attention to detail, and she was very flexible in her breakfast catering. One of our family is vegan, and Jo made sure she had a cooked breakfast of the same standard as the non-vegans.||||We reckoned this is the most northerly B&B on the UK mainland. Great views. Highly recommend.
Great place to base yourself while you explore the area, which includes Wick, Thurso, Castle of Mey, and John O Groats.|Ideal for the ferry terminals to visit the islands or just take one of the nature cruises on offer.|Great hosts in Jo and Mike. |Nice clean rooms with a view and a good breakfast
Dropped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Simple food, mostly made with fresh ingredients, many home grown or locally sourced. Really enjoyed our lunches. Jo is a great hostess. We sat in the conservatory which is very light and airy with views out towards the sea (sea mist permitting). Spotlessly clean throughout. Easy to park.
