Really enjoyed our stay at Cowpots! Pitch was lovely and views were amazing. We loved having our own fire pit. Toilet/ shower facility was very clean on arrival and easy to maintain. Really lovely family run farm/ campsite - we will be back! :)
We searched for the perfect campsite for our kids and dog and we found it! Can't recommend Cowpots enough! It was perfect. The pitch was huge and had plenty of space for the children to run around and explore, being car-free meant it felt very safe. The toilet, shower, washing facility, picnic table, and fire pit on site were all extremely clean and made the whole experience that extra bit enjoyable. The site was quiet and felt very peaceful. We loved watching the Red Kites and Swifts and listening to the owl at nighttime. The site is very well signposted and the communication from Amelia and Martin was exceptional from the moment we booked. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful camping experience with a little bit of luxury and delicious ice cream! We will definitely be back ????
Liked: This place is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in top track, campervan/tent pitch, the pitch size is enormous. So much room for the children to play. The private compost loo and shower facilities are brilliant, without this amenity we would not have been able to camp, as my grandson is autistic and will not use public toilets. The shower was so good, my 6 year old granddaughter had two, in one overnight stay!
The pitch also had a firepit, table and benches, and washing up area - all fab!
On site is a pizzeria and ice cream parlour, which the kids loved, beautiful walks, and scenery.
This place is magical, offering a very special experience. If you want a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind, this is it.
Can't recommend enough.
Absolutely stunning place to stay! What a holiday we had with the children staying in the most gorgeous bell tents. We all had so much fun and the location was just incredible. Our pitch felt so private and truly unique, with all our own super clean facilities next to us...even our own fire pit to watch the sunset!
We loved every minute and will most certainly be back. Thank you!
Our favourite camp site. Such beautiful views and elegantly placed pitches make it lovely. Here with my kids and friends it’s fantastic. You have a lovely pitch, fire pit, toilet and hot showers. A short walk back to the Cowshed for pizza and ice cream is a must.
The rooms score is a little misleading since it's a campsite so considering the area and the facilities I was really impressed. Having a toilet/shower facility for your own exclusive use is great as opposed to share facilities you generally find. The camping plots are generously sized and well spread out. The views are stunning. I think if you're in the top fields you get a better sunset as the tree field is surrounded by trees (unsurprisingly!). Your camping plot also has a covered seating area and a firepit which are a nice touch. The undercover area doesn't have sides so a windbreak is useful if the weather isn't playing ball.
My only comment is that the access is narrow and bumpy so watch that if you're super precious about your vehicle or you drive a lowered camper van! Ours isn't so it was no issue.
The campsite is pretty isolated but has an area for charging electrical devices and a freezer for storing ice blocks. We found having ice packs on rotation worked fine with our coolbox. Most of the attractions of the area aren't all that far away from the site however you need a vehicle to get you to them.
In all, I'd recommend the Cowpots camping experience. The pizza in the Cowshed is also bloody lovely but watch out they aren't open on a Mon/Tues.
The owners of the site are nice and friendly so I'm sure they're more than happy to help out with any issues (we didn't have any!)
Amazing camp site, berths are fantastic. Compost loo is awesome, nobody should be concerned by it and the shower is the highlight. Hot shower looking out on the field feels like a proper holiday! Pizza was great, get involved and walk around as lots to explore particularly if like us you have a dog
We (family of 4 and dog) have just returned from a wonderful camping trip to CowPots . As a novice camper, be kid full of where you pitch your tent, I don’t think I’d realised the importance of pitching flat… the pitches aren’t flat, so just be aware of the way you pitch- again our fault as novices. I was a little worried about it being non- EHU but I really didn’t need to. There is a place you can leave stuff charging and plugged in, we took a power bank and that was suffice to keep phones charged, we also took our cool box up and plugged that in if we went out and used the freezer for our blocks. The site is vast and your pitch is unbelievably big. We stayed on Sunset (weather wasn’t looking great so we asked to be moved closer to the car park) on our pitch we had the undercover shelter option which was great for eating and storing items. The loo and shower were both fine despite my initial reservations. Before we arrived we asked the owners if it was ok to bring our portable toilet, and they agreed as long as we used green. We only used this in the night as the loo provided was fine. The site is well cared for and extremely peaceful. If you are looking for peace and tranquility then this is the place. We had pizzas from the CowShed and they were also lovely. The owners were very friendly. We caught up with them briefly but we were pretty much left us alone, (although if you needed them they would be available) which was perfect for our family. Every night we managed to have a camp fire and star gaze! Whilst there we visited Saundersfoot- a beautiful beach and harbour (great fish and chips) Tenby- beautiful beach and lots to do (again great fish and chips. ) We also took the children (9 & 11) to Heatherton adventure park and it was a great place to spend a day. We will definitely return. If the weather had of been wall to wall sun, I don’t think I would have left the site!
