Visited at 6pm in the evening. All the staff I spoke to were attentive and friendly - from the Receptionist to the triage Nurse to the Doctor. Had to wait for about an hour in total which was far less than I expected. We are incredibly fortunate to have the NHS and the team on duty when I used this centre were great.
They might aswell close this place down and save some money through them, when calling no one will answer and when you want to get treatment will be waiting a whole day useless. NHS want to save money simply close this place first will me saving alot of money as you would not have to supply and medication here, equipments staff cut down, especially these useless reception staffs.
I had bad experience today with one of their nurses, she was upset for no reason, did not get the medical information from the patient promptly and when the patient left the room without any help, she called him back to ask him about his medical history and when asked to perform a blood pressure test for the patient as advised by his surgeon two days ago she refused without even listening why she was asked to do so.
She does not know that because of her refusal I am going to book an appointment tomorrow with the GP just to check the patient's blood pressure, but I guess she does not care about wasting NHS resources and time, and what she cares about is how she is going to be paid and how well she is going to be paid, and no wonder why NHS is down.
I wish I never see this person again, If I need to go there for any reason.
Very efficient service, yes we had to wait to be triaged then see the doctor, but it was pretty busy. All staff were polite, friendly and caring, the receptionist, the nurse and the doctor. We were all done and dusted in 1.5 hours. Very fortunate to have this service, thank you to everyone there.
Whilst visiting the walk-in centre, on the 8th of June 2023, the parking payment machines had a "Out of Order, Free Parking" notice on them. Subsequently, I received a Parking Charge Notice. After following the appeal process and getting know where I rang the centre. They were very helpful. The NHS are the parking landowner and keep records of when there are issue with the machines and are able to cancel the Parking Charge Notices.
If this has happened to you please contact the centre directly and they will advise you. This only applies if you park immediately behind the centre and NOT next door in Byron Street Car Park.
Nice clean place and friendly staff but didn't have xray facility when messages on website suggests there is
I wasn’t feeling well so attended the walk-in today today. I’ve never been before and found the parking initially a little hard to find. Once inside, the service was perfect. Booking in took mere seconds, triage with the nurse had taken place barely five minutes later. Half an hour after this I’d seen the doctor and was waiting in the in-house pharmacy for my prescription. There’s a lot of negative press about the NHS but the service today was incredible and I want to extend my thanks to all the staff for their friendliness, efficiency and professionalism.
Waited over 3 hours with my poorly boy to see doctor after being told it was hour & half wait when asked receptionist how much longer I had to wait as I had to go collect other son was told very rudely that I had to just sit down & wait my turn ????????. I left. All the staff I spoke to was rude & very unhelpful. I won't be using that service again ????
