A comfortable bed for the night, en suite, over a pub. Plenty of local eating places within a short distance. Coffee, tea. chocolate and biscuits in the room. Good value.
Stayed a night at this pub-cum-hotel in the heart of the village, and I cannot fault it!
The pub wasn't busy (but I gather it can be! Including when there is live music on). A good selection of drinks available, though the kitchen was closed (including for breakfast, so check! The barmaid gave a good recommendation, however). Relatively cheap, too. There is a 'games room' with fussball and a pool table at the back (where the local teenagers seem to congregate after they've stopped hanging outside the Co-op) and a great beer garden (partly covered and heated should the weather be inclement). The beer garden and pub is superbly dog friendly (with treats, water and even poo-bags available). The toilets were clean, staff great and locals and travellers alike seemed happy!
The rooms were very well appointed and nicely decorated (with song-lyrics throughout). Tea, coffee, Haribo (!), soap, shower-gel, shampoo, etc. TV with terrestrial channels and very comfortable beds. It can get noisy (but you're above a pub, so what do you expect!) but even the main road was relatively quiet throughout the night.
There is no parking (though the Co-op around the back has a large carpark) and they're currently having some exterior refurbishment work going on (be careful with the scaffolding and any wet paint!) but when done will only serve to make this an even better place.
We'll be back!
Didn't stay at the Inn, just popped in for a beer. Was pleasantly surprised, nice games room and the beer was good.
Loved our stay - we stayed with work and my partner had to leave for a meeting, the staff were fantastic and allowed me to stay in the room and work - the staff were fantastic. The hotel is going through a renovation but this certainly didn't spoil our stay... the bedroom was lovely and clean... would love to return, Thanks again x
A great friendly inn with clean comfortable and quiet rooms in the towncentre. I highly recommend staying here if you want to stay in Thrapston
I booked a room last minute at the Court House Pub and Hotel. The room rate was excellent value and the service I received when I arrived was brilliant. In preparation for the London to Brighton bike ride in September I had just cycled from Milton Keynes to Thrapston. My plan was to then stay at a friend’s house. Unfortunately, he was running late and not wanting to sit around for two hours waiting for him I booked a room. When I arrived, I was greeted by the landlady, who could see I was exhausted and dragging my bike behind me. Without having to ask she told me where I can leave my bike for the evening and not have to worry about it. I was then promptly checked into a lovely room that was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. All in all it was a lovely stay. Thank you so much folks. I will certainly be staying again.
Far too noisy. Cleanliness issues! Terrible mattress. Parking wasn't great. Wasn't a great experience. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately. A bit more attention to cleanliness, mattress, supply of ear plugs would improve score to 2.5 - 3 stars.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
On street parking should not be advertised as free parking as if it were being provided. |Place was mining dried coffee stain in mug there 3 days on the trot .|Bed was uncomfortable. |Tv didn't work as no signal .|Squared IKEA shelving on the wall was in the way of the toilet door I banged my head on it several times .|Realy showed cleaner that didn't care
