Really friendly and chilled out Costa I have been in for a while. We ordered some drinks and food, as the drinks were going to take a while the nice ladies behind the counter told us to sit and have it brought over.
Highly recommend the strawberry lemonade! Sugar rush!

I visited this costa with my family, and I’m so disappointed with cleanliness. Place looks so filthy. Sugar station full of rubbish, sanitiser all covered up with dirt. Half of the tables covered with stacked up dirty dishes. Toilet’s floor wet and dirty, I have ordered chocolate caramel frappe with cream but lady said they are ran out of the cream also flat white coffee looked like latte no creamy texture. Very disappointed.

Seems that if you go on a Wednesday when 2 people working you don't get your drinks right. They can't make what you ask for and have to tell them how it's supposed to be made,making it uncomfortable as a customer so don't bother. Ran out of milk when I'm middle of drink, he couldn't be bothered to refill so ended up with half a drink. The shop itself OK and rest of staff know what they doing but these 2 don't so will just go on another day.
Fist time in st Austell, 3rd in queue it took 10 mins to serve a women wanting 3 drinks and a couple wanting 2 drinks all take out, 2 staff working. They got the 3 drinks wrong, not what was asked for and had to remake and charged the couple wrongly
Never once apologised to either.
Then stopped serving people in the queue and went off to do other things without explaining that there would be a small wait, just ignored everyone. We waited for at least another 10 mins with no sign of being served
They had only made one further drink and still not spoken to anybody waiting to be served, just moaning to each other that they were too busy ( there was only one table with people sat at )
We gave up and walked out as we had been there over 20 mins and were 3rd in queue.
We just wanted a drink not to be ignored by incompetent and rude staff who were completely clueless.
We went to Niles bakery just round the corner where we were greeted with a smile and pleasant staff who made our drinks and brought them over for us.
Would avoid the Costa and go to Niles if you like great service and a lovely coffee at halve the price.
Convenient from my work place with friendly staff and prompt service. However, it's small but not cosy. Coffee machines are loud and the chugging, steaming and spluttering of the bean workhorses can be quite deafening. At peak times, you wonder if you'll get a seat? I haven't failed to yet but it's been a squeeze on occasion. I come here for its proximity to work and pretty OK coffee.
