I been here when was evening time. Was quiet and not too many people. Nice place for wee break. Coffee at Costa coffee was really nice and delicious. Service was friendly and prepared my order smooth and fast. It's popular place for break so in different timing like afternoon I am sure it's busy, but worth it for drink a coffees.
I attended Costa at Rugby services this afternoon with my partner. During the service, my partner was rudely spoken to by a member of staff called Ligia while she was waiting for our drinks. My partner was waiting in the incorrect space waiting for a drink, upon which she was questioned by a member of staff. After apologising and saying she didn’t know where she would go, the staff member said “I don’t care. Move!” in a patronising and disrespectful manner. My partner didn’t challenge the staff member who said this as she wanted to avoid confrontation and not make a scene. However, she was upset by it. Shocking and appealing way to treat a customer!
Terrible service never going again. Ordered a large ice mocha waited more than 15 minutes 4 customers got the drinks before me. There's no system in place. Staff can see I have been waiting for a while. If a customer has been waiting for a while then they should ask the customer if they are okay to show good customer service. Paid for a large one which cost over £5 which it states on the menu. Instead they gave me a medium ice mocha which is luke warm on a hot day. Didnt even refund the price difference. Didn't even use fresh ice and didn't even get an apology. Or show a gesture of goodwill. Whoever is the store manger they need to re train their staff . They need to have few people on the tils and few people making drinks not mix and match. Very disorganised.
There's no sign in place to say where to collect your drinks as well. I have never experienced terrible service from Costa until now. AVOID this place!!!
As quick as you'd expect in a service station, was disappointed they appeared to forget our food, and there are some serious liberties being taken with the cleanliness of the coffee machine.
Milk being allowed to dry onto the steam arm which contaminates it for future use - I have a dairy allergy which meant I couldn't drink one of the drinks I ordered due to this.
Also when handing out our food, they called it out as something which has dairy in which made me doubt the contents of what I had ordered in the first place
The most horrible experience and customer service EVER. The staff is very rude, argumentative and impolite and refused to let me and my baby to their toilet after purchasing drinks and refreshments. They argueD it is for disabled customers only even after I told them the baby change signs.
When did the big brands stopped caring about their reputation and putting their customers first???
Absolutely unheard of.
The store was busy and there was a bit of wait before we were served. The staff looked tired but were trying to serve customers as quickly as they could. We ordered some hot drinks. We weren't asked if we wanted a large one or a medium size drink. So one drink was large and one was medium. Drinks weren't even hot, luke warm at best. Won't be visiting again if in the area, especially if I want a hot drink.
Ordered 2 coffees only to notice flies all over the sweet treats, when I informed the server, they replied “yea not very appetising”
Abysmal service. I asked for a moment to look at the menu, which I got, but then after that, I was completely ignored. There were five of them standing and chatting. One then said her goodbyes and the rest stood there talking. I waited, got my payment ready, made eye contact a couple of times with two of them and still nothing. Then someone else who had come in behind me got called over to be served. I waited a few moments more before deciding it wasnt worth it. I don't mind people chatting at work, I'm not the type to think people have to be busy all shift, but it was dead in there, and I didn't manage to get a drink. I didn't want to shout over to get their attention, as I'm quite quietly spoken and I shouldn't really have to shout for service in an empty café.
