I'm not sure on food, I didn't order any that's why there is a mark down. However, the woman who made my drink noticed me before the till server did. I ordered my drink and by the time I finished paying my drink was ready. I wish I got this woman's name because she was helpful, cheery, speedy and she made my drink to perfection. I just wanted to compliment her rather than the establishment. 10/10
I visited Reading Services East on a Thursday morning and decided to get my favourite coffee from the Costa.
As I parked up I ordered on the app to click and collect.
Ten minutes later I asked at the counter if my coffee was in sight.
Without apology I was told that as it was busy they couldn't see click and collect orders and they would check.
It was then promptly made and handed over again without any apologies, greeting or chat.
Awful service. Great coffee.
Despite three serving areas, just two staff on at 11.20am with a queue of around 10.
Avoid at all costs.
All part of the Moto-shambles. Can't even get a coffee driving late. So much for motorway 'services'! The only concern here is to scam as much dosh out of each motorist who has been unfortunate enough to have to pull in here. I'll now be avoiding Moto stations altogether.
Have to agree with comments about how rude the staff are. Stood waiting to order while the staff are cashing up & ignored even when I come forward to ask to order. I understand some concentration is required to cash up, but you can still acknowledge someone's presence. Sort of the main point of a customer service job.
Barista noticed I was waiting and asked for my order despite finishing up someone else's drink. Great use of time :) She helped me get the big treat I was after to keep me going and was very kind and gentle in her manner. Unknown to her at this time I was travelling back from a funeral which had scattered my coffee ordering ability to a mumble.
Massive thank you for excellent customer service and humanity at a time it was truly needed.
Huge area to sit safely. The coffee was ok nothing special. I tried the chocolate slice for the first time and wasn't very impressed with it. However it was vegan and. liked that part. Product availability wasn't 100%. But the stuffs were really nice and hard working. They tried to look for an item inside as it wasn't available on display. ????????
Poor service. Do not order on the app or you are at the back of the queue. Run by teenagers who are more interested in chatting to each other than serving customers.
Good quality cup of coffee served by a friendly barista in an actual cup rather than paper. A good selection of tasty treats available to accompany your drinks we opted for a Sicilian lemon tart and a chocolate chip shortbread they were a welcome addition to our flat whites there's also a selection of comfortable chairs in which to relax a nice touch when taking a break from a long journey Don't forget to use the moto app when ordering as it usually gives a 20% discount making the prices far more reasonable
