I understand that organisations need to sometimes increase costs but the quality should also match. Considering this place probably saves a few £££ by being cash-only we've just paid £22 for two adult meals, and one kids meal and the portion sizes were appalling.
This is a wonderful chip shop. Great owners who work very hard to deliver the best experience and quality food to their customers. Very clean with fast service. Brilliant community atmosphere too. 100% recommend.

One of the best places to go for food, they've got a great menu and the staff are always friendly. They've got all the basics like cod and battered sausages, but there's also a lot of less common items available like squid (which I would strongly recommend trying). My favourite thing to order is the chicken strips and chips, which comes with a free pot of curry sauce, and it rivals KFC. I also love the burgers, of which there are many. Glad this place has been going strong over 10 years now, it's definitely worth a visit if you live nearby.
Good value fish and chips.
After seeing all the good reviews we went here for fish and chips. Me and my partner both had battered cod and chips, it was about £15 and it looked decent.
About 10mins after eating it my partner was getting stomach pains and had to rush to the toilet... I'm now writing this review at 2.30am after waking up in the middle of the night to throw up every single piece of cod that i ate. Nothing else, no chips in the sick, no batter... Just cod, everywhere.
I wont be eating cod and chips from anywhere for a while, especially not from here. Eat here at your own risk.
Just picked up and enjoyed cod and chips, have to say we weren't expecting much but have been mildly surprised. Lovely big flakes of cod in a really crispy batter and decent chips too. If we were here much longer would definitely go again.
Very nice fish bar, grear prices (although not the best chips that I had, I prefere crispy chips, while these are fluffy). Check the opening times before going there, as they close early in the evening, and open late during the day. If they had a more wide opening times, they would do so much more money, especially for people that are looking for a inexpensive yet yummy lunch.
