Truck wash don't do any where near good enough job for 28 pounds. Front bumper, tanks and number plates untouched by soap. Bad one lads, you need to tighten up.
Always one of my favourite places to visit with my fella we have been here numerous times . I can honestly say it's one of the nicest stop offs for eating in this area.
There is always so much to choose from and all cooked from fresh, hot and full of flavour.
The prices are very reasonable and the staff are always smiling ,helpful and friendly to be around.
The place is clean and the toilets are always spotless.
The menu is plenty to choose from and always big plates which fill you which a variety of items on the plate.
We went for the steak salad yesterday it was cooked to perfection and a beautiful tasty selection of salad and chips .
We will always return when in the area one of my favourites and value for money.
One of the best truck stops around! the best prices, looked after showers, great staff and a really good meal deal. They definitely like to look after customers, which is rare in 2024. Long live A1 Truckstop

Parking : Its great, nicely tarmacked surface, lots of space, as secure as you can get nowadays.
Forecourt: All the pumps are high speed and well maintained, the shop has lots of trucker bits, snacks and friendly staff.
Cafe: Very nice food, well organised, the girls are friendly. Only negative is they need to replace their cutlery as its worn out. Bar as well if you want a pint or two.
Showers/ toilet: Very clean and spacious but water pressure and temperature wont win any awards. Does the job though.
To sum up, Very good you won't find better in the area.
not to be confused with the motorway services on same junction as a lot of the reviews on here are mistakenly for that.
The service received from the truck wash is absolutely appalling, this is the 2nd time I've had a poor visit. Considering I required only the unit to be washed.
The catwalk hadn't been touched. Nor the rear of the cab. The rear air tanks still dirty. Very poor quality wash. Amd it wasn't even busy.
Lovely tasting chips cooked fresh to order and reasonably priced ????
Brilliant site, safe n secure, good facilities, new ones are under construction. Easy access. Friendly staff. Worth a stop if you haven't already.
Brilliant truckstop with brilliant food. Only 4 stars due to the limit on shower time.
