Fantastic cake (fruit cake served with cheese) great coffee and smashing service. A special place to spend time soaking up the view.
Well, that was a surprise! We arrived just before 12:00 and the place looked deserted. However it was open. The space inside was effectively, if inefficiently, taken up by 2 customers. There were lots of picnic tables and two cabins outside. Would be lovely on a warm day or if dressed for outdoors. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and extremely well presented. Service was prompt which was good as we were on way to ferry. Before we left the outside area was well populated. Overall a good experience.
First time being there when I was out for a walk. Had a lovely welcome and the people that were running the Cafe on 2nd May 3023 were very kind. They went above and beyond the norm whilst catering for my 10 month old baby. Food was lovely and a fair price which is hard to come by. Tea pot for 1 was generous, I managed to get 3 cups out of it. The cafe had a lovely outdoor area but I opted for inside which had a rustic feel with local artwork on the walls which were available to purchase. Absolutely lovely, thank you.
We finished a 3 mile walk with 3 wet dogs and were made very welcome by the lady busy in the kitchen. Couldn’t have felt more welcome despite my doubts about taking the dogs in.
Friends had sausage sandwiches and coffee whilst I opted for a delicious slice of cake and tea(served in a china cup) Because of the weather we sat inside in a quite small room but there were plenty of tables outdoors which would be lovely on a dry summer day.
Will definitely go back in the summer and hope for a dry day! Felt so sorry as we left, leaving behind a very wet floor which was cleaned as soon as we left.
Highly recommended for the cake alone!!
I believe this is charity run. The two young girls were doing there best on the desk but looked tired and stressed. The lady in kitchen was over stretched and very loud, shouting from kitchen to the girls and then running into rooms to grab plates from window sills or food from fridge in reception. Didn't give a relaxing atmosphere. The place could do with some simple additions. Spoons with numbers on given to the customer would allow staff to know who's order belonged to who. Our food took along time to come through because it was a little disorganised. Our order also came out wrong again due to disorganisation. We asked for a particular sandwich and got the wrong order. We didn't say anything because we were hungry and wanted to get moving. But should we have had an allergy it could have been a bigger issue. Its a cute little place. With a bit of tlc and some little additions to organise the ordering system better it would be spot on. I do wish them all well and hope they receive this as constructive comments so they can evolve and flourish x
Reasonable priced food and drinks in a nice setting. Friendly helpful ladies running the place.
We stopped here for a late breakfast as we were walking the coast path. Service was really friendly and quick, we ordered 2 sausage sandwiches which were delicious and set us up for the walk into Holyhead. Cappuccino was hot and tasty. Lovely aspect, looking out over the sea.
The ladies that run this place are lovely. There is a huge outdoor space that is child and dog friendly. It is right next to Penrhos park and a fabulous place to stop after, or before a wander. The tea is served in a large teapot with extra hot water. The cakes are delicious. You can stop a drink only, cake or a light lunch. The toasties are lovely with the option of salad or fruit and crisp. This place gets busy! So if you are not in early then be prepared to wait, it's worth it!
